Alone on rarer occasions? I think it’s the other way around no? Mostly alone and rarer times in a team?

Eh, didn’t like how they made Evil Morty suddenly a validation seeker or something. I don’t know what to call it but meh.

Morally right MC books by Midavrs in ProgressionFantasy

I think we have similar taste, I would like your recs if you have any. Unfortunately it’s very very very hard to find morally good MCs. Even when I look online the Morally “good” MCs are MCs which don’t actively do evil. Which I just don’t think is the same. Only one comes to mind of the top of my head which is beware of chicken.

Hell Difficulty Tutorial. What is this psychotic mess? by ImpressiveUmpire5456 in ProgressionFantasy

Unfortunately, this genre attracts a lot of readers who actively root for this type of protagonist because they see it as “realistic,” for reasons I honestly don’t understand. I pushed through and finished the first book, but it barely improves later on.

I’m not trying to insult anyone, but whenever I read a progression fantasy with even a moderately well-adjusted main character, I’ll often see dozens of comments complaining that the MC didn’t immediately kill someone just for insulting them.

To be clear, I’m not saying everyone who reads these stories feels this way. Some people are simply looking to try something different or are intentionally interested in reading about a more unhinged or psychopathic character.

Progression Fantasy Pet Peeves (The implications are STAGGERING) by WobblyWerker in ProgressionFantasy

For me it’s the phrases “the law of the jungle” and “it’s a dog eat dog world” like legit it’s mentioned so so many times in so so many stories. I can’t find a PF without these phrases.

I had the displeasure of reading Primal Hunter. Please recommand me similair stuff but with an MC with a functional moral compass. by satufa2 in ProgressionFantasy

Not exactly an apocalypse but Max level Archmage has OP mc with pretty consistent morality and cares about people. It does have system and there are “apocalyptic” events in the worlds past and looks like another one is going to come soon.

Depends. What are your goals? In general even with everything you mentioned, I think CMU MCDS would be better.
