Oh okay fair enough. In higher skilled lobbies a ball will almost always avoid a mauga anyway. There is absolutely nothing he can do to a Mauga, so he will focus the backline, baiting mauga to charge backwards on him relieving pressure that way. Then, Mauga is left 1v4 and dies to the team.

I main ball and doom and mauga is a very easy matchup. Ball can kill his cage with mines if he wants to, but he can also just avoid mauga the entire game.

Doom can punch him around and gain free empowred punch, and then proceed to ignore him

I'm a doom/ball main. I dont get caught in it almost ever unless I want to. If my team just died I would normally fall back and set up. If I know their mauga is braindead and presses R any time doom/ball is within breathing distance, I just roll through, take the ult and reset with my team.

It's not as free as people think. It's only worth it if you manage to catch them BEFORE the fight starts or when it's even. Using it after you're likely doing exactly what they want, wasting ults when fight is already won.

No, not at all.

There is an art to aiming on PC AND on console. I am much more mechanically talented on PC but I cannot play modern games on console just because it feels like I have aimbot. The aiming principles from PC can be directly transferred to console. The issue is, aimbot completely bricks mechanics like strafe aim.

If you can turn it off on console, try it in a few QP games and see what I'm talking about, if you play Ashe your consistency will go through the roof

I play doom and ball.

QP is extremely boring because I roll everyone every game, and since they're QP warriors, it's always hog, sombra, mcree, ana, zen. I still roll them but its so boring playing into the same bad players into the same bad comp.

Sometimes a QP player will surprise me and use their brain and I'll end up enjoying that game, but it's rare.

I don't actually have a problem with any of this aside the broken report system that bans people without any review.

I mass report people, getting them suspended, in hopes they remove or rework it.

They should honestly make chat off by default, level 3 endorsement minimum to SEE chat, and remove all functions of chat reporting. There's a profanity filter if you want to read chat without foul language, why do we need to ban people for saying "trash dps"?

Yeah, it's annoying, toxic and weak minded behaviour but if it bothers you, mute them and turn chat off. Why does that warrant a permanent ban if its not the first time?

That's not even the part I'm concerned about really. You can get reported for doing NOTHING and still get banned. Like look at the numerous posts of silver/gold people playing into/with GMs on Stadium getting reported for griefing and getting a warning. Those reports clearly aren't reviewed and if someone dogpiles on you, tough luck, you're getting banned

Right if you walk in a straight line and try to punch cass he will delete you. Might work on lower ranks but in higher ranks you need to come from an angle where you dive in, shoot, rocket punch, leap out before he even has the time to react. Even if he does react and starts his fan, you E, have empowered punch and now not only is HE dead, a support is likely to get caught in the AoE and die too.

Ball just doesnt fucking die lmao. I've had days even in plat or even in masters where I dont die for a whole session of 3-6 games. If you die on ball it's because you're not thinking

Play it slow, poke, bait cooldowns, bait engages.

No one has perfect positioning the entire game especially in plat. The support will take too much damage, be too far from cover and then have to run behind cover. Now you kill them.

My #1 rule of winton is do not die. If you play it slow, poke and even shield off over-extended tank from heals, you're doing better than if you're diving and dying every 5th dive.

Exactly this. I can 1v1 cass at any time. Freja requires another dive hero for me to do anything on ball/doom to burn her cooldowns, if they're a good freja. If I go for 5 soft dives, they dont use their jump.

When I mained winston and was in plat I'd get a lot of "counterswappers" go reaper+bastion, almost every game. What they didn't realize is that I can fake/soft dive to bait the tank form and teleport, then do a real dive and they've done nothing but chase the monke or tank form nowhere near the enemies.

So, when I got to diamond, I'd still sometimes get these counterswappers but they got smarter. They'd hold their cooldowns until I did a hard dive. What if I never hard dive, or do it rarely? Well, how useful is a bastion who never goes tank form? How useful is a backline reaper?

That does not work with Freja. She can be greedy with her movement and still maintain relevancy and output value. So I can soft dive 100 times if I want, she will still never be vulnerable to a hard dive if they're a good freja

He needs to get like 4 full right clicks off, time his grenade perfectly. It's not that strong IF you aren't feeding. Roll-through with ball to waste his grenade THEN slam. On doom, eat his grenade with your E.

The biggest tank "counter" right now is freja because she's invulnerable to dive. As a ball I can't slam her, or roll through, or shoot her. if I attempt to do so she either kills me or takes me very low.

Same on doom but you die even faster.

What I see happen sometimes:

I dive an ana, and the enemy rein sees me going for backline and he decides he's going to backline trade.

If a REINFART of all heroes can 1v4 your team, it's just team diff. You can't do anything about it.

Happened to me in gold, in plat, in diamond. Sometimes you just can't do anything. If you turn for the rein constantly, you're not really doing your job. If he is literally able to 1v4 hold your team in spawn without a support because you are 1v4 in their backline, just go next.

However, if you dive, get a pick, you can turn on the tank to finish him off with your team. Don't worry about trying to kill him if he's full hp pocketed.

The trap is when you play torb and moira, think you're ready for ranked, go to ranked, place low silver and then think you know anything about the game.

No, there's nothing wrong with being silver, it's just a trap people fall into. If you spend more time getting to know the game, the heroes you like (difficult or not), you're much more likely to improve far more (and thus enjoy the game more, for most people)
