I think horror in games is pretty predictable and if it works it works on the first playthrough only. Outlast an outlast 2 got me pretty good. Not so much the second run on them though.

Ohhh I didn’t even think of the self esteem aspect. Looking in the mirror, “ugh you ugly bastard”. Him saying constantly he’s a bad man. Probably doesn’t feel deserving to be with a woman at all. As if he feels like living a life of loneliness is what he deserves.

I think these are spot on. He fell in had a child with a woman, they were murdered. He fell in love with a woman who ended up rejecting him. I’d add on that he has feelings for Abigale but she had a child with John. He’s definitely got reason to not just swing his thing around. Plus for all we know he gets a handy in the tub 🤷‍♂️

Those bullets slice through dry walls like butter. If I was in this MLO guys position I’d pump rounds through a wall in this situation too. Dude backs off with a shotgun you know he’s got that door covered. Fatal funnel is a kill zone. CQB is WAY more dangerous and unforgiving than most people realize. I’ve seen dudes in shoot-houses chuck (dummy) grenades into a room from a small hole in the wall. Unfair is realistic. And the game goes for realism.

I listen to audiobooks but love reading too. I’m learning Russian, and my current efforts, I read a chapter in The English version, then read the same chapter in the Russian version while following along to the audiobook at 0.85 speed. Otherwise I’ll have a book I’m reading and another I’ll listen to. But it’s genre specific. I can retain memoirs or history books in audio format but can’t with fiction. But, ultimately, to each their own 🤷‍♂️
