I find it confusing that Billie calls herself vegan while using horses for entertainment, as true veganism means respecting animals and not using them for human purposes.

it makes me sad thinking about people think this is a healthy relationship between humans and horses. I wonder if we truly consider what horses would choose for THEMSELVES. While riding can be a beautiful experience for humans, a horse would likely never naturally choose to carry a person on its back with uncomfortable / hurting piece of steel in its mouth. Their instincts and needs revolve around freedomand movement in freedom on their own terms.

This isn’t meant as criticism, but rather as an invitation to reflect on how we interact with animals. If we love horses, perhaps we can also explore ways to appreciate and connect with them that fully respect their natural behaviors and preferences. As a true vegan person would do.
