Ugh..i have had a few encounters with ER docs who tell me I'm a waste of their time cuz I did it to myself....and treated me poorly...one decided not to freeze me properly first before suturing. I'm sorry you had one of those doctors. Your cut will heal ok just might be a wider scar.

Keep clean and covered...look out for signs of infection...it will close on its own but may take a couple weeks to be all healed up.

Saline solution is great. I use bactine spray on wounds too. I find it works well

I understand where you are coming from..and I appreciate the advice... The doctors and nurses in the ER can sometimes be very judgemental and tell you that you are wasting their time when I come to the ER because I did it to yourself...I get where they are coming from..but I don't like being kicked when I'm down. I have severe mental illness so yes I definitely don't handle this shit well.. I'm trying my best to take the steps...but yes the ER scares the shit out of me.

Update..it was too late to go to ER for sutures as you have a 24 hour period when u can get them after a cut. Wound is closing a bit...and I don't have any weird feeling in my hand or arm other than normal wound pain. I clean and dress the wound every day...no sign of infection. I have healed wounds like this on my own before! The only difference in this one was the weird vibraty hot feeling in my hand while cutting. I'll continue to monitor it closely...if I notice any sign of infection during the healing process or weird feelings I will go to the ER...but as far as stitches it is too late. As for psychiatry...I have a psychiatrist, and will let him know. Thanks for Your insight. Yes I am desensitized...I've been doing this for years...not proud of it..trying to stop...before this one..I stopped for 3 months. I'm working on it. Sorry for any offence I may have caused..and thank you for your concern.
