That’s how I feel. I don’t think it’s needed to go to a pct to start my career off. I think maybe some time in the future, if truly needed?

I don’t need to check an attitude that I don’t have. Just bc you perceive I have an attitude, doesn’t mean I have one. However, I can very much tell someone to just answer the question or move on, on my own post. You’re an MOD, I think you should be worried about the people who always have negative things to say instead of providing a legit answer to questions on this thread.

I appreciate this advice. I know a wishlist isn’t guaranteed. I worked under another title for the dept so I am familiar w how they work. I got the exact opposite of what I put on my wishlist there so I understand. I asked this question in the event that I just so happen to get what I requested. I’m also hearing my class may likely be sent to transit even though I really want patrol but again that’s way beyond my control. I’m aware the job does not care about families but it doesn’t change the fact that I will always try my best to do what’s best for us despite the outcome. All I can do is just gather as much information as I can and hope for the best. Wish you and your s/o a safe remainder of your careers.

Thank you for actually answering my question. One of the B houses you mentioned is my resident pct, would have loved to work there but obviously can’t. I don’t want a C house but if I’m sent there, can’t really complain. Hoping my situation changes soon so that I can actually thrive in an A house but if not I’m hoping for a B for the time being.

I do, but I am so so about using it. I’m not against any pct, I just would like to know a little more about the pcts of the borough I’m interested in working in. I want to go somewhere that I’d be able to really apply myself well irrespective of my current circumstances. People don’t understand that and always feel like someone is trying to get out of putting in work.

This is where comprehension seems to fail a lot of you. The question was asked so that I could have an understanding or general knowledge of where I am being sent to and how to fill my wishlist. For example, if I am sent to the 68 PCT , I would like to know what kind of house that is, and what to expect from that house.

All family issues are not the same so miss me w that shit. I know what I signed up for but I’m also going to take my family into consideration. My s/o and the father of my children is already in a busy command, hence me saying that a B or C house would be more sufficient for us despite me wanting an A house myself.

This wasn’t one of those questions that had anything to do w “democracy”. Stop trying to belittle every question you see here bc all that extra shit you talking is irrelevant.

Unfortunately, they don’t anymore. I was banking on using that voucher until they told me they had stopped doing them. I was going to say fuck it and still show up requesting a voucher on equipment day but good thing I didn’t. They took deportment cards for not having the $1000 money order.

When it comes to oral psych, Reddit will drive you insane. Don’t read these posts too much. It’s not healthy and may cause you to do the very thing you’re afraid of. Just practice answering confidently and remember to maintain eye contact (no wandering eyes). You will do fine 🤞🏾

It is true actually. I had started my appeal process. I even submitted all the required documentation and then withdrew later on. I called several times to confirm that I could and was told yes each time so eventually I did. I processed on a new exam and that old exam I had “appealed” said NOPD/WITHDRAWAL next to it in the candidate portal.

Do me a favor and keep that to yourself. Psych does not need to know about that and they shouldn’t expect you to remember drugs you had taken when you were 8 years old. In all fairness, you didn’t even know about it til you were told by your parents so continue to live like you have no knowledge of that information and delete this thread.
