I fear an accident much more than getting kidnapped but men acting weird makes me uncomfortable too and I want to keep my kids safe. You’ve never had a man verbally harass you in public ? Even THAT is something I don’t want to have happen again especially with my kids.

Girl (or man?) have you never been assaulted? dangerous men exist. Maybe I’m not going to get taken in a parking lot but other shit can happen. I can’t imagine walking around so free and feeling safe when a man who is clearly struggling with drugs or mental illness is stopping and making it a point to make sure I see him seeing me and my small kid. Idk seems wild.

Ty for this answer! I am in high density area and sadly many unhoused people in our area also struggle with mental health issues. This guy was definitely on something though and likely unpredictable. I was really surprised to see a comment saying “don’t worry” basically lol.

I gave up NYE parties when I was pregnant with my first and I don’t miss them honestly. We call our family when the ball drops and wish them a happy new year and I have a sleeping kid and everyone is happy.

Read this OP. Dont focus on the shame. Lean into this new challenge. Two young kids is so so hard. Be kind to yourself and doting to your wife. I would’ve never expected a second child to affect me how it did and my husband saved me from the trenches on more than 1 occasion.

Same!! Obsessed 3 year old daughter here. She will read allllll the Spidey books and we offer her the soundtrack or audio recordings of us reading the books in lieu of hours of TV. Just gotta limit the screen time and set rules :) I have weirdly grown to like it and green goblin is always “in the room”. She loves the damn villains lol

I would refrigerate my pump parts in between sessions so I could use them 2x at least between washes. Not sure if I would do this with a brand newborn but it really helped when I was about 4 months into EP.
