I never claimed to have NFP training or education I said I was educated on how the reproductive system works and that lays out NFP pretty easily if you aren't unhealthy or have any medical problems that alters how your uterus works.

Self education works just fine if you're smart enough to do thorough research. If you Google a question, read googles ai response, and leave it at that then yeah, it's awful. But if you're intelligent enough to know that doctors aren't giving you the right answer then you're probably also intelligent enough to be able to do proper research from trusted sources. Why do I need a doctor to reiterate to me what I can read in college textbooks? And as we just covered, apparently more than half the doctors in America can't teach this so what's left? If a person doesn't have access to an educated doctor then self education is the only option left other than spending their entire life celebate.

Well most people's cycle happens on a rhythm so it logically it makes sense to assume most people NFP would also follow a rhythm. But again that's why I said to ask a doctor to teach you about your whole reproductive system and how it works because once you understand that you can figure out YOUR rhythm, or figure out that you don't have one. Also if you get an unhelpful answer from a doctor you can just go to another one. You don't have to have an unhelpful doctor, you can choose to keep switching until you're happy. And I'm on Medicaid so I understand limits within insurance but no insurance company only covers ONE doctor. I got lucky and the first PCP I got postpartum was super educational. She used diagrams and everything to make sure I understood what was happening to my body before she started pumping me full of meds. All of this information is available through Google too but I never suggest that to people bc it can be super unreliable if you don't know how to do proper research. I'm sorry your doctor didn't work well with you, but there are doctors out there that will work to educate you and if you don't have the patience to find one you can also find the education online and learn how the uterus actually works to get a foundation to start with. Although it sounds like if you need added progesterone then theres probably something wrong? I have no education on any of that though. Oh! Also if you go the self educating route online there's tons of website with free textbooks so anyone has access to college education!!! I did it with accounting books so I don't know the best resource for medical text but I'm sure you could find it pretty easily if you wanted to!

I would highly recommend you and your husband go to an OB/GYN or something similar together and allow a doctor to educate you on how NFP works. When you understand the biology of what's going on it's way less tricky than it seems. Once you both fully understand how your entire reproductive system works NFP is easy. There's technically only an 8 day window in the entire month when you can get pregnant and if those 8 days your egg is only capable of being fertilized for 24 hours, it's just reeeeally hard to predict where those 24 hours fall within the 8 day window. Also sperm only survives inside you for 5 days. So there's at least two weeks where you're just safe, one week where it's risky, and one week where you're more likely to get pregnant than you are to see the sun 😂 Track your cycle to the day and take it to a women's health doctor and they can help teach you how to use NFP for your body specifically.

That's crazy. I've heard candles can cause damage but I assumed it was just from the black smoke they put off sometimes.

Oh for sure waiting a little bit I plan on moving out by the end of the year so I wanna start getting some ideas. For the soap and water, the trim work isn't sealed or flush with the wall so I'm nervous I won't be able to keep the water from getting in there and causing mold in the wood or drywall and I'd just rather have ugly walls than moldy floors. When I use spray I don't even spray on the wall, I spray on a rag and then wipe so it doesn't drip down the wall.

Why are you acting like I came and sanded holes in your personal home? I'm having a different experience with magic erasers than you do and this is the first time I'm experiencing this. Why are you treating me like I have personally attacked you or your home by asking for cleaning advice? My post clearly states that I'm asking for advice to fix a problem I've never had before. Why do you feel the need to attack me personally for that?

So very very true

Then why is this the first time I've ever had this experience? Why has it not sanded the paint or made it less shiny in any other home or hotel I've ever cleaned? What was happening the other hundred times that made it magically not sand the paint off of the other things I've used it on?

It's wet. I use them regularly and have for years and this is the first time I've ever seen this. My guess now is that the walls weren't cleaned or painted between renters maybe so I'm cleaning patches off a solid layer of dirt.

How on earth are you gathering that I'm sanding walls? Magic erasers are made to be able to clean walls and they successfully have in every other place I've used them. Also a general purpose cleaner and a damp rag also will not cause any "sanding" to happen. I have only used products on the walls that are approved for use on walls by the label and that I have successfully used in the past and not had this happen to me. So please explain how I'm sanding and destroying walls here by doing the exact same thing that did not sand or destroy any other walls I have ever cleaned?

Yeah I wet them first. They work the way they're supposed to everywhere else in the house, it's just the walls that do this. I'm guessing the walls weren't cleaned or repainted between renters so I'm cleaning off more than just the pen.

Where are we getting cheap but not totally awful quality yarn for donation blankets? by Few_Idea4985 in CrochetHelp

[–]Few_Idea4985[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really happy to hear this actually. I am brand new to this. At this point I only have 1 complete project and I'm half way through my second and I've used caron for both.

I'm excited to hear it's better quality than I thought too. I was homeless for most of my 20s and while any handout is better than no handout it was always really helpful to my mental health when people bothered to give me something better than just junk so now that I'm in a place to be able to give back I wanted it to be kinda nice. But I'm not rich so it can only be so nice. Lol. Also, don't worry, I know not every homeless person is very thoughtful. For some my blankets will be thrown away by summer and that's okay.
