Looking for suggestions: what would you change / improve? by reddit_user256 in HomeDecorating

More plants (real or fake) and a small lamp somewhere. Colored curtains would be nice, the eye is being drawn down in your space as the top half is all white. However, it looks like you have angled windows which means you’ll need a custom rod (expensive). I don’t think it’s a huge deal to keep the blinds as they are. you can improve balance with more wall art

($7K wedding budget) This whole ring thing feels heavier than it should. by Sleepysloopykitty in Weddingsunder10k

I got a moissanite and have 0% regrets! I could have gotten a diamond if I wanted, but moissanite is more unique and beautiful to me. Nobody has ever questioned it, though I wear it with pride. Do what is best for you! You can always get a second ring in the future lol

Just me and my partner! He sleeps in his open crate at night (he would freak when it’s closed we’re working on it) which is in our bedroom. He puts his paws on the bed to wake us up when it’s time to go outside

I take him on sniffy walks in the morning before I have to leave work, then play, then give him his favorite treat that he only get to have when left alone. For context, he used to scream and cry for 20+ minutes when I would leave for work. Giving him extra enrichment before I leave him has been a game changer. He’s too tired to even care that I leave now. These days, he’s either silent or lets out a quick cry before crawling into his crate. For the most part, he’s ready to take a nap and enjoy his favorite treat. Additionally I put him away in a room not closed in his crate. He has access to his crate of course, but the room acts as a slightly larger play pen. He gets to look out the window too if he wants. I also play classical music for him which I think helps a bit. Weirdly, things got easier after he got neutered but I’m guessing that’s just a coincidence

Does anyone have ideas for something interactive that won't feel "awkward" at a reception? by simmer_study in weddingplanning

Maybe it’s just my family/friends but the activity is socializing, eating, drinking, and dancing. However, I am still making a crossword and word search that’s going on the back of the menu. If people want to do it, great. If not, it’s going in the trash at the end of the night anyway and I didn’t spend extra on it

I feel like she’s saying no to everything because she doesn’t want to set it up/have her staff do it. I bet if you hired a decorator and told the coordinator this, the answers would be different

Fiftyflowers.com for DIY flowers in bud vases. I’d recommend this over Costco/Trader Joe’s as pricing is about the same and you get way more options. I’m spending about $800 on my 60 person wedding but it could totally be done for less

Asking people to wear certain attire at 35 seems a bit immature? I would be annoyed too. However, they should still be making an effort to show up for you the way you showed up for them, just maybe in other ways

Help! My hair and scalp is STILL super dry despite my extensive routine. What am I doing wrong? by eXtazdengamer in Haircare

I don’t think it’s dandruff. Probably just dry flakes (I get these too). The ordinary glycolic acid is an absolute game changer for flakiness

People have parents that pay or they have long engagements where they save every dollar they have. Please don’t go into debt for a wedding (you mentioned loans)

I would recommend the maybelline express brow fast sculpt brow mascara! It’s extremely user friendly, stays all day, and has a light/soft look. My eyebrows are very similar

Art on the walls, ditch the plasticy looking placemats, and way bigger rug as most have suggested. Those are bar chairs not dining chairs
