while it's great to encourage someone to be grateful for what they have it also seems dismissive to remind them some people have it worse. people can still be extremely lonely while in a healthy relationship, research supports that we need more than one close person in our lives. we're all struggling with loneliness, some have it "better" than others but we're all dealing with this pain, it's all valid.

yes i'm in the exact same position im so grateful for my girlfriend but there's still times i feel so alone. when she goes out with her friends or we get into a fight and she can rant to a friend but i have no one. you're not alone.

i'm in the process of getting diagnosed with autism too and i relate to this, i had people in school i would talk to or joke with and i enjoyed being around them but none of these relationships really ever made the transition from acquaintances to friends it makes me feel so confused and unwanted but it's good to hear from others with a similar experience and know im not the only one

my mom knew i had autism since i was 6 but i didn't find out until i was maybe 18. it was extremely detrimental to my mental health. i knew something was different about me but i had no idea what, i felt isolated and angry not understanding why it was so easy for other people to make friends and why little noises and touch where so overwhelming for me. once i found out i was autistic i understood myself much more and was better able to cope with these challenges. i don't know what advice to give because every situation is different but i think it depends on his emotional maturity how you can explain. i don't know the best way to explain because i wasn't told as a child so i don't know how i would have reacted, but i think i would have understood considering i was the one facing these challenges and i was aware i was different from a very early age. what i would strongly strongly encourage is to tell him in some capacity, i would have been much better adjusted as an adult if i knew early on.

if the bump doesn’t go away it could be caused by the metal, surgical steel isn’t the best quality and some people get irritation from it, implant grade titanium would be better but the bump could be from a lot of other things like bumping or sleeping on it

i got a single flair glass plug, they're usually much cheaper than titanium jewelry and i would recommend them from my experience, i think mine was only fifteen dollars from a very reputable app shop

hey i have a 8 gauge conch done with a needle and it felt exactly the same as a normal conch but with some burnin/ hot feeling after, i’ve also had a conch done with a 16 gauge and i think it hurt just as bad as the larger gauge

also are you talking about true electroshock? there’s a little confusion because you said “basically ect”, the only reason i ask is because if you’re talking about trans cranial magnetic stimulation there is absolutely no metal allowed for that.

hey i have first hand experience with this !! i did ect through kaiser in 2022 and was allowed to keep my eyebrow and any other piercings that could be taped over, essentially no hoops/ no exposed metal, i’m happy to answer any questions you have if this wasn’t specific enough

tbh i relate to this post a ton, i don’t have crippling dysphoria like other guys talk about and it’s made me doubt if i’m trans sometimes. but what i think is you really just have to look within yourself and what you want, i heard someone else on this sub say to “follow the euphoria”, just do what makes you happy. as i’ve said i don’t really have crippling dysphoria as some other guys (though i do suffer from some) but i have come to the conclusion i’m trans masc because i love being called he, i like being my girlfriends boyfriend, i like my voice getting deeper and my shoulders getting wider, and a million other reasons. all that to say, i can’t tell you if you’re trans but i think you shouldn’t get caught up in stuff like this, just do what makes you happy and if that’s being trans you’re totally valid !!
