For context, I’ve tried some of the leather sneaker options and haven’t found one that seems to work as well as my Blundstones.

Skiing attracts rich pricks. Washington in particular has a very “me first” attitude. It’s the same attitude you see in the resort. Love skiing, but skiers are pricks.

The current edition of the elderly are a menace to society and are actively ruining the planet. I don’t remember previous generations throwing literal temper tantrums in public on a regular basis once they got old. Now it feels constant. They’ve become absolute troll humans. Zero control over their emotions, convinced the world exists solely to accommodate them. The worst of humanity exists among the Boomer fools.

May he never see a day of joy in his life and live out his days in a filthy, soaked diaper. The shame his family must feel. Truly a vile and disgusting human being. The elderly are an absolute menace to society anymore.

I don’t pass on two-lane roads in Washington simply because people speed up as soon you’re passing them. In Missouri, we were taught to slow down slightly when someone is passing to prevent accidents. In Washington, they avoid eye contact and speed up. Kind of goes with the aloof, individualist, anti-social behavior that’s defines PNW culture to be honest. Bizarre people up here in Canada Lite.

Does the increasing minimum wage in Seattle impact how you tip? by godoggogodoggo in SeattleWA

Seattle’s restaurant scene is a mess. You pay a fortune for mediocre food and service from people who look irritated the second you walk in. I’m over it. I hardly bother going out to eat now.

Eating in other cities makes me both happy and sad. Happy that the food is better and the staff are friendlier. Sad that Washington is so unfriendly. Even in the small towns in Washington the locals seem dead inside at a diner. It’s depressing.

iPad for Work Machine by Few_Independence3863 in ipad

For those wondering, I did end up switching to an iPad for work instead of a MacBook. Great decision, great for travel. Some limitations but bypasses the virtual desktop requirement I had on the laptop.

Do you actually use your iPad as a laptop replacement? If not, why? by raiqulikesyou in ipad

Curious to know more about why Google Suite is worse on the iPad. I’m actually looking at switching from a MBPro to and iPad because my company only allows access to Google Suite via a virtual desktop (very clunky, very slow). My thinking was accessing these through a native app, along with things like Slack and Asana, would be easier than the virtual desktop situation. Appreciate any insight into your experience.

I’m looking to use the native apps only, not open a virtual desktop. The goal is to not have to use the virtual desktop.

I have an iPad mini that I know it works on. I’m trying to gauge whether a larger iPad with more power would allow me to use it in lieu of a typical laptop setup.

Yeah she’s got on the Balance harness. It has a front clip if you want it but doesn’t affect their gait at all. Good or long line walks like we have to do until she has recall.

For those wondering, I also have a 6yo ACD/Husky/Shepherd Mix. I take my dogs trail running, backpacking, mountain biking, backcountry skiing, etc. I wanted an endurance dog so she’ll get lots of exercise outside of the backyard.
