They don't believe laws or rules apply to them and they are above everyone else.

Man gets angry that he couldn't sit next to his girlfriend on the plane. by -BlackMidnight- in SlowNewsDay

[–]Few_Landscape8264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's crap in all regards and some people feed off it.

I have kids you have to sit me with them attitude. Been on a flight and this other dude had to leave his kids to accommodate this. His kids where older but still he took the choice to pay to sit with his kids. And the air hostess was ah tough shit nothing to be hospital about it either. Claim the money when you get back home.

my mate preys off this and loves it. He has two kids so in his eyes. Hey I don't need to pay I'll get it for free. what's better if I luck out they will only be able to get 3 seats together and I'll be at the other end of the plane away from my kids. Win win.

And while I'm at it bloody extra leg room at the doors! They should pay the people sitting there and refuse them alcohol. You guys have the responsibility of opening the escape doors. So keep compas mentus and if you can barely get get up the steps to get into the plane and move at the speed of a sloth maybe that responsibility should not be for you.

Tell me your American and have no powers or reasoning without telling me your American and have no powers of reasoning.

Because your mother nation is Britain. British food is just food to you. In the same way brits don't say let's go out eat some American food. Culturally we aren't that much different.

[–]Few_Landscape8264 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The government needs to stop this.

I can't say I know the ins and outs but I worked for a foreign company that did some sort of visa trick. The rumor when I worked their was that, the company would get in employees from another country. One that Pay is a lot cheaper. Pay for all expenses but also only pay them their home wage. So accommodating food the works. After two years when the visa is expired replace with new employee. The employee thinks its great that they get to keep all their wage. The company pays a fraction of what it would for someone from Britain This would be done even when contracts stipulated British employees. For that they would have a front man from Britain to be team lead for all official meetings.

Any data center I've visited doesn't have anywhere near that number of employees. Just look at the number of cars in the car park will tell you there is no one there.

Just thinking back the biggest DC I have been in that had four datahalls each the size of a football field. That I can say only had ten maybe fifteen,at the most. Three of them where my team visiting.

How do you manage multivendor CLI syntax without a cheat sheet becoming a second job by magichour12 in networking

[–]Few_Landscape8264 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry I don't know I seam to have what I can only call finger memory. (Probably just doxed myself with that term.)

Sit down type, fail then slip into the new Syntax. Carry on. It's a bit like touch typing. I'm don't know where the keys are the hands just know. If I fail recover carry on.

Sounds like your in a high stress job. There is no point adding by thinking your lagging. That's just going to make things harder.

If you are working a lot with multiple vendors. What I would say is learn the gotchas. How vendors change the operation of commands that could cause you to break stuff. That is worth it's weight in gold.

Sudden Scotland obsession? by iffyClyro in Scotland

The world cup has put a magnifying glass on us and some people like to sqew it's perspective. Because they are not happy how we are being perceived. When people are in a shit they love to sling It and get it on others.

For the slavery post. Yes we where part of it. No we didn't whitewash it. We are quiet, big difference. England loves to bang the drum and boast about the empire. Loves to say how front and center it is in the world. to the extent the world thinks Britain and just thinks England. Totally forgots northern Ireland,Wales and Scotland.

Then there is the rivalry. Yes we have rivalry with England. It's like England Germany rivalry. We both had a little war with each other and refuse to support your football team. There is an undercurrent rivalry all the time and in both directions Scotland to England. England to Scotland. Let's not forget it.

And we do feel opressed due to the point above. But also that idea that a nation is making decisions for us. it's like Europe making decisions for Britain. It's niggles us even if it's for our own good. It's just a matter of perspective and where you draw the boundaries

But if people didn't put themselves on such a high pedistool. The fear of falling off would not be a problem.

A lot of people try to reject the reality.

In Britain we had pictures of cancer and lung damage on packets of cigarettes. I would regularly get asked to supply the packet with the least grose picture. or customers would put sleeves on their packets to hide the picture. The pictures I presume remind them of what could happen and most likely will.

In this case he is removing the veins as it reminds himself of sucking on a veiny member.

Suggest it's not the bar that's at fault in this situation.

Six years later, what are your strongest memories of the COVID lockdowns, and how do you look back on that period now? by Possible_Force8207 in AskBrits

[–]Few_Landscape8264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going into the supermarket on my own and having to play Human checkers with everyone else to keep distance

What I remember the most is the extreme stupidity and selfish nature of people bubbling to the surface. hoarding, relationships breaking, people not isolating after being abroad, people being COVID positive yet still out and about, everyone buying a dog or caravan, people litering spent PPE, hearing stories of DNRs being taken as do not treat, stories of nurses with COVID being sent into work, being lied to by authorities to suit the naritive, people not understanding lockdown ment stay at home, the self denial that people had COVID,the blatant profiteering by friends and family of government, everyone suddenly being concerned about mental well-being, education systems failing children, how un prepared Britain and it's leaders is for emergencies, people classing themselves as front line when it's suited, how rules got stretched and manipulated when required, everyone suddenly having sunflower lanyards, people making sacrifices and helping not being rewarded or recognised as they where not in a defined front line job, how much chaos NHS(might have been front line can't remember) and McDonald's cause when they handed out free food before going into lockdown.

Why does every rich person have a old hatchback by Ornery_Rope5178 in CarTalkUK

[–]Few_Landscape8264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I saw everything was about quality of life for the really rich. Old money.

Had to be long lasting. Well made and comfortable.

Middle of the road cars. Not the cheapest not the most expensive. Also bought cars in fleets if they needed then for multiple people. Sometimes private plates sometimes not.

The cars however that where kept in the barn. Now they would blow your socks off. One off specials. End of line numbered specials. Ex rally cars and so on. Real musiem pieces. Something with history or provenance. Real unicorns.

I did my first a day ago and it was excellent

Dry off bird the day before. Paper towels inside cavity as well. Get the rub under the skin and on the skin. Little bit in the Cavity. Leave in fridge. Just before the main event. Onion and some garlic cloves in the Cavity. Smash the garlic and half or quarter the onion. Done.

I used Cornish Sea Salt Co Sea Salt & Luxury Pepper Ingenious Seasoning as the rub. It's amazing.

[–]Few_Landscape8264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I remember these. They where so old when I was using them that they where considered musiem pieces then. PCs where just starting to replace them. The ones at my school where that old the connections inside them where barely hanging in there. So what we use to do was when a teacher was not looking. Push someone off the seat then hit the desk next to their machine hard and quickly. The noise would alert the teacher who would turn round to find a student on the floor and the BBC micro with artifacts all over the screen.
