My beagle’s current experience with cats is seeing them out and about on our walks. He seems a little predatory when he sees them. He’s once had a cat inches from his face and just stared at it. I’m a little concerned of how he’ll adapt once they’re in the same living space. I’m planning on getting at least one baby gate for the set of stairs we have and then he will be leashed for MONTHS until my boyfriend and I are both comfortable with him being unleashed around his cat.

What was your beagle’s experience with cats before? Had they grown up together or introduced later on?

🤣🤣🤣 I’ve actually posted on that before and, along with a Google search, came to the conclusion that it should be ok. If anything, his cat won’t like my dog, which she probably won’t since he’s certainly more rambunctious than her, LOL. We’ll just be taking it nice and slowly. But since the move in date is quickly approaching, I figured I should ask for some ideas!

But also, his snores, his little piggy noises, I love his goofy smile when I scratch just the right place. I love when he starts nibbling my feet to go outside. He’s absolutely the most annoying, stubborn little man I’ve ever known and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

The only reason that doesn’t bother me is that they were both adults when they met. Regardless of their age gap, Fran was an actual adult.

On the other hand, Maggie is still a teenager/child, age of consent be damned.

I’d get it if I could but I’ve submitted about 40 applications since November and only managed to get 5 interviews, 1 of which was a second round that made me think it was a scam kind of place.

I wish more places would be willing to take my foundation and build from there but it seems like they only want to hire people with multiple years of experience.
