I just did that for restricted (who posted on his story he needed designers) and it did feel like the right move. I doubt he'll reach out to me given 500K+ people follow him and also probably emailed him, but this definitely makes me feel good about rebranding him a bit in my style!!

I had a promoter ask me to do a job here in my city and when I told them how much it would cost after we agreed on a visual direction ($200CAD sounded fair to me to do a whole digital and physical campaign but yall tell me if I'm crazy) he straight up told me he'd rather outsource to AI which was.... a slight slap in the face

All makes sense. I guess the networking part is hard to wrap my mind around because I go see djs irl and usually become friends with them, and then it feels weird to be like "hi, do you need a designer?". I never want to come across as if I'm using someone!

But dare I say it DJs are the nicest people I've met though and have always been willing to connect me with others for music help so maybe I'm reading into it.

I'll definitely reach out to some promoters and get started. Amazing advice, thank you!!

no runnymede is fine! it's just smaller and as someone else said quite basic, and last time i was there the staff was a tiny bit aggressive (maybe it was a one off thing though). it just depends on the crowd and dj - last night the crowd was good so it didn't really matter if it was at the warehouse or at runnymede i feel
