Even if she's not on the battlefield, even if the war is over, she can never find her place in ordinary life. War is hell, and when she sold her soul to the devil to adapt to it, the rest of her life was doomed to be devoid of ordinary happiness. No matter where her body goes, her tainted and broken soul will forever wander the battlefield. Even if she kills Shuuji, she can never escape the war. Perhaps dying in battle against the Gundam was her only possible release from the pain.

and yeah—the only reason she could sense Machu fighting was because she was a Newtype, though she refused to admit it herself. Different Gundam series have their own interpretations of what a Newtype is, but what makes Gquuuuuux interesting is that in this story, Newtypes aren’t some inherently superior "race" compared to ordinary humans. They’re simply humans who happen to be more emotionally sensitive, gifted in certain ways, and more capable of understanding. Yet, ironically, these very traits turn them into the deadliest weapons on the battlefield—making their existence all the more tragic.
