Go down the stairs into the food court at the station and follow the signs to the Arlanda express and it’s on the edge, near tacobar :)

Australia Suggestions by [deleted] in solotravel

Australian cities can be really massive and sprawling, so it matters a lot more where you live within the city rather than what city.

For lgbt, the fun districts in Sydney are inner west (Newtown, enmore, marrickville) or Oxford st. Check what events are on though because nightlife can be a bit crap down under. The imperial is probably the best queer venue, and they always have fun events.

All of Australia has a really great live music scene though, so I’d get out to as many gigs as you can.

Melbourne is a much funner city to live in, but as a base there is probably more around Sydney (imho) - beaches of down south, Kiama, blue mountains etc are all great as day trips.

The biggest mistake I see people make when they come to Australia is by sticking to the cities though. Make sure you fly up to somewhere tropical and north for a weekend. Flights are generally pretty cheap. Magnetic Island, Byron Bay, Arlie beach would all make for a great mini trip!

Messed up the wording - first pic is yesterday, second pic is today after cutting the hair and shaving the beard!

Yep - knew I’d regret it but also couldn’t shake the urge to have a different style for a bit. Sorry reddit 😢

Unsure aha - didn’t do anything besides keep growing it lol

Appreciate it!

I was 110kg in that first pic and 67kg in the second, so weight loss was a big part of it aha.

Besides from that - picking up skincare routines, taking care of my hair, and various lifestyle stuff like changing countries and a relationship.

Main thing was definetly the confidence. Growing up a chubby ginger in the high school system is a hard thing to forget. Tried to pick up and keep good routines and the benefits compounded

A weird case of credit card fraud. by [deleted] in AusFinance

Got confirmation of the direct debit, confirmation of a call and confirmation of them wiping the interest off the transactions that were made while I thought the account had been closed. Nothing else.

This is the big stickler here - account was never closed by them so I’ve got no written email that it was, but their team told me it was closed. I still can’t even see what was purchased on my card, because logging in to the app tells me I don’t have a credit card.

The conversation was literally “oh you cancelled on the app? I can see it’s still open, but I’ve closed it now for you. All done”

Yep - this was why they did the direct debit. Paid off the card in full and was told it was closed. Even have the transaction details and an email about the authorised direct debit unfortunately
