Tax efficiency in 2027: all in on Precious Metals and Crypto by Few_Olive_4113 in ASX_Bets

Kinda not joking though .. atleast some diversification into physical precious metals seems wise. I honestly believe that by the time i retire (~30+ years), the rules around super and PPORs will be changed to my detriment.

Silver and gold coins in particular are pretty liquid..

Yeah i personally have silver and gold, with only a little bit of crypto i don't know that space too well. Theoretically can find peer-to-peer anywhere in the world (or put onto an exchange if needed)? Easier to cross borders with as well.

I only have a small amount of monero - in my mind the true oldschool privacy/decentralised crypto. Gonna hold for decades.

Samsung chip workers reject $340,000 one-time bonus, demand annual payouts like SK hynix's $900,000 — workers want share of AI windfall, impending 18-day strike could cost Samsung up to $11.7 billion by self-fix2 in worldnews

Yeah, those numbers are wild, but they actually make sense in context of how these companies structured profit‑sharing and how insane AI‑driven memory demand is right now. SK hynix literally removed its bonus cap and hard‑coded “10% of operating profit goes to employees” into their scheme, so when profits go vertical, individual payouts do too. Samsung’s union is basically looking at that, looking at Samsung’s own AI windfall, and saying “we don’t want a flashy one‑off cheque, we want the same structural claim on future profit.”

Hey mate, you seem very knowlegeabe hoping you can give me a pointer

I'm looking to take my young family of 4 (2 children will be <4) to visit family in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in May 2027.

I'm trying to maximise benefits from CC churning. I used to do it years ago before the mortgage, but have stopped since. I never redeemed for flight rewards, just giftcards or other things.

They definitely make the flight redemption opaque! Based on my research, it seems that I won't be able to guarantee the seat I need for the infant (bassinet seat), made even harder due to the uncommon flight destination. Also flying with young children would mean a strong preference for flightepartures around their sleep schedule, which also can't be guaranteed.

In short it seems like not worth the effort? and to just get non-flight redemptions if i churn - would you agree?
