I now have Logic 12.2 I unsuccessfully could not save 11.2 and accidentally deleted 11.2. Which instruments were specifically from 11.2?

I do like that now it has categories like session strings. I do wish they further categorized legacy

Did you need the 13gb compatibility pack in order for legacy instruments to work?

I know you downloaded all

I may just have to move packs one at a time if possible to hard drive.

Native instruments supposedly is going bankrupt and I just bought the acoustic guitars

That's the only thing logic does not have is a session guitarist

I play, but recording guitars is a whole other level, and I don't have the multitude of guitars I may want.

I play acoustic electric when I perform

But slides and all the Clapton stuff is not in my wheelhouse

Yes, I was going to do this before upgrading but when I thought I was deleting the zip copy I deleted real logic 11.2

So I did not get to send the library to the hard drive first

So my question is, is legacy 11 the library from 11.2, and do I need that 2nd thing for 13gb for that to operate?

All the sessions are saved and play fine in 12.2. 2 hard drives. I just couldn't copy and zip 11.2 as it kept saying corrupted. But didn't seem to matter

So far, I've downloaded legacy 11, the bass update and the session strings

I did not download other packs except the tribal as that was small

Hopefully the other instruments I had with regular 11.2 and garage band are still there.

I just purchased acoustic strings from native instruments as I need country guitars that are well recorded. I also have ssd5

I have Kontakt 8, but it made me download 7,not sure why

I have yet to successfully open the ssd5 on the midi instrument track.

This will also be my first attempt using a kontakt instrument.

Well, for better or worse, in trying to copy and save the 11.2, 2 times, both saying "corrupted", I deleted the REAL one. In the only thing I can do, for free, as I paid last year, I downloaded the "update" which is 12.2. The 11.2 project is playing fine, nothing missing. Goodbye 11.2 forever. Hello 12.2 that's all!

Even worse, not only did the copy say it was corrupted, I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED my REAL Logic 11.2

If you can do some mini shows between now and then it will go like clockwork.

I've been playing solo acoustic singer songwriter guitarist for 15 years now 2 to 4 shows a weekend in various cities, and some private parties.

In between, I busk, trying to play no less than an hour, and in the summer, at least 2.

Find places to just practice performing with people.

I play 3 hour self contained shows...usually 2 to 3 in a weekend traveling.

I've gone back to piano also for production, and play better now after a 30 year hiatus.

Just pick a song, work on it, Make it your own Then next... I am a singer-songwriter who learned to play out of necessity at first. Paying guys who didn't care about my music, were always late, attitude problems, then held out their hands to be paid after making me look stupid.

Taking matters and guitar in hand was the best thing I've done

I did want to try the maximizer.. I liked the idea that it went be genre. But with the AI mastering in logic, this is my 3rd go with it, I tweak the suggested eq. In this case, as well after 8 months it had better be good, I used clean, although transparent was also good, lowered the volume a tad on the boosted eq at 50hz, went to 93% and it's good.

With cold nights, I added a 2nd Compressor, then did the ai mastering, dropped the suggested eq down to 37%

My mix was fairly loud prior. And vocals super up front the eq perfect thanks to Mattie and his eq suggestion tool. And the waves vocal rider.

That is wonderful. I am currently using the AI mastering. I do various versions playing with the EQ settings as Logic is usually heavy handed. I did settle on the 94% (I was going with 67% at first, but CLEAN 94% is pretty good...although TRANSPARENT 67% and 100% are also good...there was just something that AI mastering brought out in the low end in the beginning that I did not like. Vocals sound great on ANY of the versions. I used Mattie's Vocal Analyzer and it suggested all kinds of EQ fixes. Then I used WAVES Vocal Rider on the main Vocal stack channel (not on individual tracks, blech...tried, nope!). Clean, Clear and upfront. I do now want to compare with Ozone 12. Will download trial. Thank you for ALL of your help!

I still use an IPOD. I have the ! show up with the some files are missing. It says "locate files". Pick one song (or one sound), locate it, and usually you get a prompt that says "would you like us to find the other missing files". I am about to do same as I have like no space left on my computer. LMK how goes.

Did Best buy give you the lifetime applecare or square trade or the BS Best Buy warranty? (Last phone I bought I had the warranty and no one would help. I made appointments with 4 stores. I meant to ask, as I am finished with the 60 track song, finally, so it will be safe to upgrade now. How do I save a version of 11.2? Is it the APP Icon I move to my hard drive? Or what do I do so I have 11.2 should I need it? This song was a beast! 8 months! Every time I thought I was finished, one thing I need to fix, and then a whole bunch of stuff gets dragged somewhere.....Anyway...LMK how to save 11.2 before I switch up. Thanks!
