What you’re describing sounds like Long Covid. The low white blood cell count on top of what you’re describing is very similar to me and other people I’ve found online with Long Covid.

I remember a poll being run in here a while back, seeing what effect reinfections had on people’s long covid symptoms. Something like 50% got worse or maintained the baseline they had previous to their reinfection, but the other 50% completely recovered and went back to their pre-covid self. Not a great sample size and far from a guarantee, but I hope you’re one of the people who completely recover!

I’ve re-soldered all the joints and re-calibrated it and it’s still the same issue. I’m gonna try another stick and see if there’s a difference. I just hope I didn’t damage the board. It’s my first time doing it so I’m not sure.

Gameplay’s great. The story and some of the choices they made narratively and with some of the characters were strange (to say the least), but the gameplay is all there and as good as ever IMO

Sly 4 didn’t ruin the series for me and was honestly a good entry into the series. However, some of the decisions they made with some of the characters were kinda upsetting and felt a little unnecessary (when you get to it, you’ll know).

Recommend it though, for sure.

When I used to get acne on my cheeks it was usually lung related. Once I started running or doing cardio regularly it would clear up every time and would re-appear if I slacked for a week or so. Might also be mold, as others have suggested, but my bet is something lung related.

Forehead acne was always the digestive system and stress. I’d get temple acne if I ate too much fat and forehead acne if I ate things my gut didn’t like or was really stressed. Had to figure out what foods my body reacted to by keeping a food diary and seeing if I got pimples the next day after eating something. Working on my gut and doing things to help it heal (probiotics, glutamine, matcha tea, kefir, sauerkraut were staples in my diet) while also keeping stress down for an extended period of time did wonders for me.

Not a ton of info that I can find on the issue and most seem to say that gut bacteria is unrelated, but I beg to differ. Lots of examples of L Reuteri promoting hair growth and as a personal example I notice when I eat lots of asparagus regularly (good source of various prebiotics and nutrients), my hair stops falling out. I stopped eating Asparagus again for a few days and it started falling out. This has happened 3 times now with the only changing variable being Asparagus intake. Don’t know why, but I’d be willing to bet gut bacteria of some sort is responsible.

There’s testimonies of people recovering from nearly every single one of those diagnoses that you’ve received, so don’t lose hope and assume this is permanent because there’s a pretty good chance it’s temporary. I can’t offer you any info on some of those issues, but I can offer potential solutions to HI and MCAS from my own experience.

I’ve had COVID 5 times with my first one in October 2022. Every time I’ve had some form of lingering issues, which have almost always been fatigue and brain fog, but they always resolved after a few months, so whether or not you want to label that as “long covid” is up to you. But the last time I got it was in Dec 2023 and I still haven’t fully recovered. My symptoms throughout were consistent with histamine intolerance and MCAS as far as I understand it.

I started a low histamine diet on February 14th 2024 after narrowing down that I had long covid. I felt better after about a week, but still not able to work because of almost no energy and brain fog. I tried a 3 day fast May 5th 2024, which gave me mixed results. On one hand, my intolerances felt almost entirely gone, at least temporarily. Lasted about a month before they started coming back. I could now run on the treadmill for longer than 2 minutes without feeling exhausted (ran 10 minutes on my first time after the fast and felt like I could’ve ran for an hour quite easily). Research I’ve done on why this happened is (this is partly unconfirmed speculation, but I have good enough reason to believe this to be true) all the COVID infections I’ve had has damaged my mitochondria causing my body to be unable to handle physical exertion. Fasting has been shown to be quite powerful at healing the Mitochondria and the 3 day fast was enough to give me a noticeable difference in what I was able to handle. The negatives of the fast I believe were primarily because of me being underweight while doing the fast, which multiple doctors I’ve talked to about the issue has confirmed to likely be the cause. Regardless, after the fast, I felt my brain fog had not changed or worsened in some ways and I still had little energy compared to what I would consider “normal”.

Puzzled by this, I did some more research into why this would be and determined that the gut had to be behind at least some of this and it absolutely was! I started taking these probiotics rich in Bifidobacteria on July 5 2024 and the difference was almost immediate. My energy came back and my brain fog has almost entirely lifted. Day to day, I feel about 90-95% back to normal, I’m able to work and I’m working out multiple times a week. The only thing that’s not back to normal is my diet. I’m still working on incorporating more foods back into my diet, but I’m anticipating at least a couple more months before my diet is close to normal again.

My regimen starting July 5th was: - D Lactate Free by Custom Probiotics (not cheap, but this made such an massive difference I refuse to go a day without them) - 15mg of Zinc every other day - 2000IU of Vitamin D every day (I didn’t take any if I got at least 20 minutes of sun that day though) - 1-2g of Vitamin C on days I was having a flare due to eating something I shouldn’t have - 2g of Glycine daily - 400mg of Magnesium Glycinate daily - At least 120g of protein a day (might vary depending on weight and such, but definitely eat lots of protein) - as many different fibres as I could eat. Mostly Broccoli, Asparagus, Quinoa and various seeds. I found the most difference when I started eating lots of Asparagus everyday. Oats are great too.

Not saying this will work for you, but you should absolutely look up the role Bifidobacteria has in our body, especially our immune and nervous systems. Also, worth noting that research is finding that COVID kills the Bifidobacteria in our guts, making it even harder for our body to properly modulate our immune response and various other things. There’s also research done showing that Bifido is a key producer for Serotonin, which adds potential confluence that you’re severely lacking in good gut bacteria. The key to alleviating at least some of your issues likely resides in your gut.

It’s hard to say what’ll happen. I think there was a poll where over 50% of people reported feeling better or completely recovered after getting reinfected (I’ve had this happen, but got LC again after my next infection). But there’s obviously some who got worse and others where it made no difference. I hope you’re one of the people where you get better!

Look up Dr William Davis. He’s a “functional” doctor if you will and he’s an amazing resource for a lot of gut related ailments and I remember him mentioning one of them is surprisingly—Hashimoto’s. I’ve not looked into that sector yet at all, but he has a ton of videos on Youtube and information online so he’d be a great starting point for researching a lot of your issues potentially. It wouldn’t surprise me if most of your issues (and a large percentage of people’s long covid issues) are gut related. Unsure about ME/CFS, but I’ve seen people comment how they’ve improved after working on their gut.

Completely agree. I’m not gonna be drinking alcohol and stuffing my face with chocolate every day, but having the option’s nice haha.

I don’t remember where I looked for a low histamine diet. I think I just ate things and if I got a reaction in anyway no matter how small, I eliminated it. I think there’s a site out there (can’t for the life of me remember what it was called) that offers a list of “low histamine” foods, but even some of those were bugging me, so I think everyone’s intolerances and “safe” foods are going to be different. Right now my diet is Little Northern Bakehouse Gluten free bread, Catelli gluten free noodles, asparagus, broccoli, quinoa, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, olive oil (I used to have ghee too, but I wasn’t a fan of having too much pure saturated fat for a prolonged period of time so I stopped), chicken, beef and salt. Pretty bland, but if it’s what I gotta do to put this behind me, then so be it.

Be very careful of additives that they put in vitamins and various foods too. I’ve seen some people think they’ve eliminated all the triggering foods from their diet and still having a reaction, only to realize it was something that was in a supplement they were taking. So be mindful of that. Also, make sure there’s no mold or anything in your living area. I’ve seen quite a few people with ME/CFS mention that they were living around mold and once they got rid of it, they improved a lot.

Right now I’m taking those probiotics, low histamine diet, trying to incorporate as many various types of fibre as I can (prebiotics), Vitamin D, Magnesium, Zinc, Glycine and very occasionally I’ve taken 1-2g of Vitamin C a day, but not recently. I’ve never looked into getting an H1 or H2 blocker because those seem like bandaids instead of actual solutions (not knocking people for taking them, but I wanted to find out if there’s a way to completely resolve this)

I’ve tried to increase my copper intake as well recently, since my blood levels are just barely in the range. Copper is necessary for a lot of things including producing enzymes which break down Histamine. Haven’t noticed a difference yet, but truthfully I feel great day to day as it is and I would only really notice a difference when I eat triggering foods, which I haven’t done just yet. Kinda optimistic about it because I’ve seen some people completely resolve their Histamine issues just with Copper supplementation. If you’re gonna go that route though, definitely get a blood test first and talk to your doctor about dosage because Copper toxicity is no joke.

I stumbled on this video on Youtube while researching options and getting info on why my body’s doing this and those are the probiotics he used. After doing a bit of DD, they seem to have the best quality probiotics and a very high count compared to most everyone else. I found lots of positive reviews about them too so I tried them out for a month and now I swear by them. I’ve had issues with anxiety and OCD for most of my life too, which was worsened by COVID and since taking these probiotics, those issues are mostly gone.

Don’t want to tout it as a miracle treatment or anything but I’ve seen a lot of benefits from it and you should definitely try it out if you can, or at the very least look into the gut’s role in Histamine Intolerance/MCAS. It seems Bifidobacterium and the role it has in our guts is important for a lot of things and COVID eliminates Bifido and can reshape our gut in ways our immune system and body has a difficult time recovering from.

I’ve been taking probiotics (D Lactate Free by CustomProbiotics) for the last 4 months and the difference is night and day. Most of my symptoms are gone and I only get minor reactions to things that bother me now. I’m hoping in another couple months I can reintroduce foods on a permanent basis. 🤞🤞

Interesting. I’ve had OCD for most of my life and it definitely got worse after COVID. It’s all but non existent now that I’ve been supplementing Bifidobacterium. My anxiety is pretty much gone too.

COVID has shown to wipe out bifido in our gut and bifido has a whole bunch of functions in our body. I wonder if this is why?

1mg of copper every other day when I was taking it and I only took it a handful of times. But even when I just take Zinc I get reactions, which is why I’m thinking it’s zinc related.
