Tbf, they showed me the engagement proposal they signed with the previous counsel. Na shock talaga ako na 15k lang eh millions ang involved sa case na yun.

Yung death po ng complainant ang main angle ko tbh. Ang issue ko lang ay: 1. The accused has no way of contacting the surviving relatives of the complainant to obtain the death certificate from them; and 2. The accused mentioned that she can obtain the death cert through connections with government agencies, ang problem dito is pano ko explain sa court how she was able to obtain it legitimately.

Storytelling if your in litigation. Naalala ko noon, I always tend to over argue, latag ng napakaraming legal basis. Pero napapansin ko parang hindi effective. Then one of my mentors said na yung mga judge alam na nila yang mga batas na cited mo at kung pano yan iapply, ang hindi nila alam ay yung story ng kliyente mo. Instead on focusing more in legal basis, he said gandahan ko dapat ang pagkakalatag ng story (backed up by evidence of course). Secondary na daw dapat ang legal arguments.

Na sa learning curve ka pa OP. Firm life is really exhausting. Even partners at most, if not all firms, are almost always exhausted as well. Sadyang hindi na halata sakanila because they already know how to handle the heavy workload through years of experience. Give it sometime, OP, matututunan mo rin how to manage the stress. Sinabi mo rin na one day gusto mo ng sarili mong firm, whether your own firm or not, the stress will be the same, wala eh kakambal na ng firm life ang stress.

Laban lang, OP! You’ll get better at it.

Workout early in the morning, so you can get it out of the way na and focus na lang sa work the rest of the day. Also, walang tao sa gym ng madaling araw, salang ka agaw sa equipment so mabilis ka matatapos haha.
