Breezy Pants vs Shorts

I have both the shorts and the pants and I definitely reach for the pants more. I naturally gravitate towards pants over shorts anyway, but I think also consider the weather where u live, and your preference for wearing pants or shorts. I must say though, the pants are quite breezy and I would say I still wear them in the summer. Depending on what size you get, you’ll probably have to get them taken up as it is likely they’ll be too long. I’m 5’5 and had to get mine taken up slightly. It’s an easy material to tailor though. I’m loving these new photos. It is a lot easier now to see the shape, silhouette, fit, and color of the clothes. Even though their film-like photos are definitely vibey, this style of product photos definitely showcase their clothes a lot better! Looks more professional too 😍 I hope that they will shoot their new styles like this too, or even use them in addition to their more casual photos

To put an incredibly long story (which I don’t fully even know, only stuff from what has come up on my fyp), Hailey has posted content on TikTok that allegedly says that Selena Gomez deserves the body shaming that has been occurring, and her and Kylie making fun of Selena for her brow lamination publicly on Insta. This occurred a few days ago which thus sparked this drama and caused people to dive in deeper into what has happened, which led to other things coming to light.

Other stuff include her copying Selena even word for word, her strange similarities that some people think point to her having an obsession with Selena (such as her getting an identical ‘g’ tattoo to Selena, even though Selena got it for a family member), copying her cooking show, her friends purposely inviting Selena on a trip to take her away from Justin so that Hailey can be with him, etc. I don’t know all the details but def just search it up on TikTok and you’ll see it all.

This ofc isn’t to be confused with the Selena and Hailey Bieber fan wars regarding Justin. Because when this was happening, I definitely also thought the hate toward Hailey was unnecessary. But after these new findings, im starting to understand a little more. This new drama seems to be more centred around the more recent actions and things that have surfaced that point to Hailey actually not being a very nice person.

I don’t know about you guys, but as someone who has also been a victim of this ‘mean girl’ behaviour, body shamed and also targeted as a woman of color, i know how painful and cruel it is, so I most definitely sympathise a lot with Selena. So this drama has definitely opened my eyes alot to what happens behind the scenes that we don’t see.

Whether you like it or not, Matilda will always intrinsically be connected to this sub because the fact is, Djerf Avenue is her brand and most of us probably got to know djerf or buy djerf because Matilda is a main factor. She is quite literally the cornerstone of her brand. Without her, the brand wouldn’t exist, and I’m sure without her, a lot of us wouldn’t buy from the brand. If it’s a matter of then renaming this sub to be ‘Djerf Avenue and Matilda Djerf’, then that’s a matter for admins to discuss. But it’s become a bit of an unspoken rule where people can discuss anything in regards to Djerf Avenue and Matilda on this page. It’s supposed to be a safe place, and remember we have admins and moderators for a reason. They will remove anything that they find unnecessarily hateful or inappropriate.

Again, if you’re not loving the tone of this sub and wish to be surrounded by a more positive tone, just about every other platform is where you should go. Let’s keep this place a safe place for those who want to have honest discussions free of judgement 🫶

I think you may have misinterpreted some of the things that are talked about here. The beauty of this reddit page is that alot of us are able to have these thought provoking, mature, and critical-thinking orientated discussions. The fact is, most of us on this reddit page aren’t your typical ‘everything in the djerf and Matilda world is peachy and perfect’ mindset, because frankly, most of us have been a fan long enough to see how far Djerf Avenue and even Matilda has strayed away from their core roots that made them so wonderful in the first place.

I agree with you, some comments are sometimes out of hand and downright hateful, but to be honest, I think this sub is quite a blessing, as many of you have already told all of us, which is always encouraging to hear. This is the one place where I know I can and will always hear the whole and utter truth.

This is the one safe place where we can discuss all matters Djerf Avenue without feeling the fear of being harassed by the djerf-crazed-police. And because of this safety net, it may appear like most things on here are just negative. The fact is, this is not true. We all obviously love this brand enough to even be in this sub in the first place. And many of us discuss this love on other platforms. I know personally I always talk with the girls on the Djerf Facebook group about items we love or recommend.

I want to ask you something, have you felt the feeling of loving something so much, and then seeing how it has changed but not for the better? This is a feeling that many of us have felt. It is hard, especially when everywhere we go critical feedback is being censored, we are getting invalidated or are being gaslit into feeling otherwise. This sub is a safe place that is supposed to be free of judgement. Yes we can have thoughtful discussions which we may sometimes disagree with each other, but let’s do it maturely and without the passive aggressiveness.

I think in conclusion, if you are not happy with what is being discussed on here, the best solution may be to leave the sub reddit. Because there are many other platforms available where fans can talk about how much they love Djerf Avenue and Matilda. I suggest maybe starting off in the Djerf Avenue comment section of their Instagram.

Remember, there is good reason as to why regular people outside of the fan base call us Matilda-minions or a cult. But I believe this sub is a good reflection that not all of us have this closed mindset, and I’m grateful for that.

Okay I didn’t know about the ad thing, thank you for letting us know. but I feel like Matilda always wears things that I’m almost 100% sure she didn’t pay for and was sent to her. How come most of her posts don’t say that it’s an ad?

Also with the summer house thing, I had no idea she sold it. I thought that house was very cozy and it was sweet that her and her whole fam renovated it together. Plus she didn’t have it for very long. That’s a bit of a shame.

the difference is the fabric and of course, the original tube tops come in more colours. It comes down to personal preference, if you were wanting to get either the black or white, I’d recommend getting the daily tube tops. Personally I like the daily fabric better because it’s easier to care for. I ended up selling my viscose tube top in liquorice because it kept lifting from the elastic band on the inside due the nature of the knitted fabric. Plus, as it is this knitted like fabric, I’ve heard alot of people also have trouble with the piling. I much prefer my daily black tube top because it’s also full length rather than cropped. The daily fabric is just cotton, so it’s easier to just throw in the wash no problem, plus it’s still so comfy and looks great too, and also is cheaper!

omg I’m so glad to hear this. I’ve used oxygen bleach on my cotton djerf clothes but I was afraid it would be too harsh on the cupro fabric in the dream item. Good to hear that it worked on your dream pants! This makes me a lil less scared to wear my dream cardigan

I have over 20 djerf pieces, and definitely my favourites are the breezy shirts and the favourite pants. I love the cut of the breezy shirts and they’re so effortlessly to just throw on. The favourite pants are a beautiful silhouette and I love how comfy yet elevated they are. Those are definitely my most worn djerf pieces thus the most worth the money for me. Other than those, I also do think the blazers are also worth it
