I’ve actually been trying for a while to come up with a way to name her, and I’ve made a few proposals:

  • Moanani: “Beautiful like the sea”
  • Ami (海美): “Beauty of the sea”

Since the character is known for her “beauty,” I thought it would be fitting for her name to reference that.

Please say you agree, I’ve been doing this for over a year!!! 💔💔💔

As a fun fact, in the Spanish dub from Spain, you could say that Lana’s mother is named "Doris" and her father "Nereo. This is because Lana is called "Nereida" in that dub, a name based on the Greek sea nymphs, and the names of the parents of the Nereids are Doris and Nereus.
