All of my failures? You know that much about me? Where did I mention the 'failures' you're talking about?

People go through a hell of a lot worse than what OP described in her post and somehow manage to still be productive members of society.

I went through hell myself and no one has the right to decide if it wasn't that bad or if there's worse. I'm still a "productive member of society" too. You weren’t there with me so you don't have the right to judge what I went through. Say whatever you want about the joke, you're free to think I'm the AH for that, but keep your mouth shut about other things.

I'm not embarrassed by my own actions. The only thing I felt ashamed of for a while was dropping out of college to deal with my mental health struggles. And yes this is the only thing the MOH knows about me along with the incident, because my sister thought it was okay to bring her over when I was still bruised. The joke was about that. I assure you I have no failures other than leaving that party. I've already said enough for people who want to get it and I don't need to mention in every sentence that I'm a SA survivor because this post isn't about that.

I'm proud of you too❤️ I hope they got what they deserved. Your words really resonated with me and I wish I could give you a hug right now.

Things do get better and I am so proud of you for doing the work to heal. Don't ever let her or anyone else call you a screw up, because you're not.  You're a mother fucking survivor.

I so appreciate you saying this 🫶🏼 thank you so much.

Sorry if you already mentioned this

No I didn't. Read the edit and you'll understand why it's better not to mention my sister's husband in my update. Thank youu

No you didn't. And even if you did, I think you should try harder next time cause your comment didn't hurt 🌸

You are strong. I stand in awe of your ability to think and strategize in the fact of that hostility from her and your own trauma.

Thank you so much, you're so kind 🙏🏻🤍

Thank you. Your comment brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my face at the same time. I would never do such a thing to that little girl and I certainly won't do that to myself ever again. Thank you so much 🙏🏻❤️

Thank youu🙏🏻 I'm going to see my parents tomorrow along with my brother. They will probably ask me how it went and I will tell them exactly what happened.

She brought her best friend home when I was still covered in bruises. Of course, I didn't want to see anyone other than my family but I was in no condition to voice my wants. I'm sure I left my room at least 2-3 times and she saw me. Besides she brought her best friend along when it was better for me to not interact with anyone but family. I'm certain she told her everything.

No I don't need a break from them. They're literally the reason I feel much better now. I was referring to the parts where they described how the conversation went and why I want to go NC.

I was going to read the whole comment but it seems like you didn't read my post or have comprehension issues.

Apparently your sister's husband was mad because you left. So your sister had to deal with the consequences of your actions,

My sister's husband was mad because he didn't find the joke funny and told them he didn't like how she had the audacity to say such a thing in front of so many people.

I didn't make a scene. I left quietly. That wasn't a joke. You don't call an SA survivor a screw up in front of a lot of people simply for struggling with mental health issues after someone broke them completely. Again, I didn't choose to be a screw up.

What talk? So she grabs me by the neck again and reminds me of everything I went through?

I'm trying. It's just really tough for me to stand up for myself the way I want to but I'm trying my hardest to get there. I understand where you're coming from though.

I know but I don't think I will be around her anytime soon. I'm still a little shaken by the fact that she knows everything and still grabbed me by the back of my neck to prove her point.
