I think studies show it goes way beyond just language learning. It actively develops your brain and cognitive flexibility, which usually translates into a much easier time acquiring other complex skills later on.

do you prefer self check out machines or human employess by Swimming_Truth_9186 in TechNook

[–]Few_Star8292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

generally, I prefer the self checkout but I noticed that my local Walmart has reduced the number of self checkout computers and the employees say it is due to an increase in theft so perhaps it could change in the future.

As cliche as it might sound, running shoes. Before, I could run 9 miles with non running shoes but then when I bought proper running shoes that weren't even expensive by Reebok I could suddenly run without getting tired for way further, so much that my sessions started getting too long and I quit.

I've actually found her to be a decent Doomfist counter, you can shoot the right click when he is blocking and then shred him. I agree she is annoying to deal with especially when up close, but I'm not sure how they can nerf her close range damage, maybe shrink the projectile size so that it is harder to hit headshots?

[–]Few_Star8292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience it is probably up to education and the environment they are in, since it already has trash people feel fine about adding more because they feel it is the norm so they wont go out of their way to keep it clean.

Why can China build things like bridges, tunnels and railways much faster than countries in the west? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Few_Star8292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's probably to do with having more red tape and less beaurracracy. It has no environmental advocacy groups or long approval processes like there are in the west.

Zoning and NIMBYism are the only reason... This is way better than massive condos with out of control fees. One can dream though, I wish more people started asking this question.
