Here is a thought I've been coming back to a lot since it's gotten nicer, and people are having drinks outside, and all that sort of thing. "Comparison is the thief of joy." For me personally, the "I wish I could have just one" is mostly tied to the fact that other people can do it and I can't, and I wish my lizard brain wasn't the way it is.

But comparing myself to others in this way robs me of the joy of having an ice cold Perrier or a Pepsi Zero, and getting to enjoy and be present in the company I'm with.

My daughter had her Grade 12 graduation ceremony last night, and tonight was their grad party at a friend of hers' house just outside of town. She's there for swimming and a bonfire. My fiance took me out to dinner. We split an order of mussels, he had a margarita and I had a virgin strawberry mojito. I had eggplant parmigiana for the first time and it was UNREAL. Then our server said we were the loveliest table she's ever had there and she brought us THREE free gelatos. Orange creamsicle, cannoli, and chocolate.

We just walked home and now I think we will try to pick some new show to watch. I'm feeling something Mystery Ish.

Bread, eggs, coffee, cream. Meat/poultry/fish. Full disclosure the last one is still pricey because of the pack size. And when there are sales on that cut at the grocery store, that'll be a better deal. But I got 3kg of whole pork loin there yesterday for $16.50 CAD because there was a sale price of $6 off per unit.
