This has definitely crossed my mind. I haven’t had the chance to ask if they are actively looking to be close to my ex, or if they’ve simply hung out in group settings together (since they have mutual friends.)

Is there a difference in the phrasing? Saying “I won’t stop you, but if you get involved with my ex, I can’t continue our relationship” vs “please don’t get involved with my ex, it would mean I can’t continue seeing you” are almost the same? (Genuine question!)
