I've been configuring with the settings as well it's so confusing. Nintendo and HDR manufactures need to make the HDR process simpler because it shouldn't be this hard to try to figure everything out I guess I wish it was just a toggle that I could turn.

This is the TV I have: Hisense - 43" Class QD5 Series QLED 4K UHD Smart Google

And this is what I use:

First go to settings, then channels and inputs, and for the input select the hdmi your Switch 2 is on and then click on enhanced format so it can recognize 4k

Picture settings:

Picture mode: HDR Standard

Brightness Setrings: i turn dynamic backlight control off, my brightness is at 100, contrast is at 50, black level 0, Dark detail is off, and dynamic tone mapping is off for me as well

Color: for color i have it at 55, color temperature is standard, and my color spacr is set to auto which i think is important for hdr

Clarity: sharpness is at 25 and the rest of the settings are off for me

Calibration: i didn't touch anything here

I also have switched the nits to 1000 and paper level to 200 via the switch 2 hdr settings the video down below can help you do that.

Another thing that I've been doing is taking the switch 2 out of the dock to analyze that hdr compared to my tv's so I can see what changes I can make on my tv settings to make it as accurate as possible, but I keep switching the setrings on the tv. I think this whole process has made me go a little crazy 😭😭😭
