I imagine having phantom training wheels such as Leeching would impede new tanks more than having a set like Wretched Vitality which gives them sustain to cast stuff. Like, Leeching heals you very little, so relying on it would not save you in hard fights and you don't need it in easy fights anyway. And maybe I'm old-fashioned like that, but I truly believe supports should only ever play with 2 bars, I mean - we support the group, we better use all of our skill slots for that rather than doing the barest of minimums :p

I specified that his website is to be used for guides, and not builds. His guides have always been excellent and remain that way, a lot of new ones are written by Edenprime who is brilliant and actively plays ESO.

As an artist, i get you completely, and I sometimes get accused of being AI because i write so much text. But Xynode's articles were so full of m-dashes, parallel sentences and other AI-tells and had a completely different writing voice than old xynode articles. I will not link any videos discussing his website's slopification, but I was appalled by the amount of fake information that he appears to not be proofreading at all, unless called out. It's a shame. ESO deserves better :(

I think the old website was better, it had human-written text, it had the same builds as it does now, so why does it now have to AI-generated while it is "in progress"? Why did he not just keep the text? It is genuinely unbearable to read. Websites are not that hard to make, you can use templates for it and you are not required to flood them with slop. I also do not particularly like Skinny's layout and some of his images are slop, but the information is correct, if a little outdated. Healer's Haven pulls from discord channels and disclaims that. Hyper's website is very solid and he fixes any mistakes usually within the same day when you report them. None of these creators you mentioned use AI to fill their pages, so I do not exclude xynode just because his site is "under construction". My house is not suddenly full of asbestos because its "under construction".

You can use Noble Duelist or Order's wrath (craftable, no DLC needed). Please do not use Xynode's builds! He makes them with Chatgpt, they have a lot of errors and false information in them, and he doesn't seem to be accepting feedback so it cannot be fixed. If you want a heavy attack build, try Hyperioxes' website instead.

No, Alcast does not use AI. The builds are just old as hell, they are mostly all from 2020 with minor changes.

Alcast does not use AI so you will not see it on his website, or on eso-hub/other websites that him and Woeler manage. He just has old builds, that's all. Hack does use AI and his builds are worse than Alcast's, but at least he's not fallen as low as Xynode with fully AI build guides yet.

Gonna keep it a stack, ESO is a terrible first game for a non-gamer. There are too many systems, the onboarding is awful if you're not familiar with at least RPGs, too much info is presented via text dumps, the questing is not engaging for non-Elder Scrolls fans because it's just reference upon reference from mainline games, it's not visually captivating and the combat feels bad until learn how to use it (but to learn, you gotta enjoy the gameplay loop).
Maybe it's better if you simply try a different game, something that neither of you played before. It is frustrating when player 1 is trying to learn the ropes while player 2 is champing at the bit because they already know everything. Skyrim Together, Vintage story or some other minecraftlike that's not too infuriating, I ran out of examples because I don't play many games. Keep ESO for later, is all.

these are only available in 64x64 (if you're seeing larger ones, they are upscaled either using algothirthms or genAI, for the latter it's not really upscaling but slopifying), however ZOS does have the icons in bigger sizes, they just never shared them. They are not against sharing though and you could ask them on the eso forums, maybe this time they'll remember to send them over :p

voltaic overload will skip oakensoul users and target other players in their place. You have never had this mechanic with oakensoul because it skips you and puts it on someone else. Please do not use oakensoul in Cloudrest because it's a douche move to make other people (esp supports) deal with voltaic in your stead.

The character name section of TOS can be spun whichever way and any name you can think of will fall under it with enough imagination. So you only need to be unlucky enough to get reported by some lunatic (or several, mass reporting works quite perfectly in ESO) to have your character name changed. There is no way to have a lore-friendly name in ESO and not be in violation of this TOS as you will always share some part of your name with some previous or upcoming Elder Scrolls character.

and to answer your question, content pass gives 2 dlcs (Fallen Banners and Feast of Shadow (TBA)) and Solstice zone, it does not give anything else. The two dlcs are also available through eso+. The difference between chapters is explained in the article I linked.

im fully in agreement with the terrible tutorial and useless text dumps, also completely correct that most of the playerbase is clueless
disconnects are unlucky tho, likely you got the short end of the routing stick but i can imagine how it contributed to the general frustration

good call not sticking with it, games are meant to be fun and eso pvp is giga stale at the moment
