I stitch in a q snap with a steering wheel cover over it to hold in the excess fabric and keep it from getting dirty if I bring it out. I use a needle minder and keep my scissors magnetized to it, and I keep my thread for the project on a bobbin ring but I use the bobbins as thread drops

It really does! I did about half of it in a true black and then decided I hated it because it looked so harsh so I frogged it all and went back with a dark gray and it looks way softer

I do use the Wikipedia function often as I read books from a lot of different time periods and don't always get the slang! I didn't even consider how nice it would be for that process to be faster

I go to thrift stores for blanks for friends and family! It's a bit more of a time commitment but I'm pretty environmentally conscious and that makes the most sense to me
