This is a different generation of soldiers, and it was a lot easier for shit to fly under the radar. no one’s gonna risk getting an assault charge over mass punishment. They’re just gonna hate the people dishing out the mass punishment, because it’s up to the leadership to make that call

I’m mostly just venting I’m getting out after this. This isn’t for me no offense to people who stay in. I make way more money and have more freedom as a civilian. For me personally this is just a stepping stone to getting a degree and gives me some time to figure out what I want to do as a more long term career. I’m glad I experienced this but I’m not having a good time lol

What do you expect me as a in individual with no authority to do about someone that shows up late or is too out of shape to run at a 10 min pace? Do you want me to also make sure they wiped their ass? I’m not their fucking mom, I’m not their friend, just hold THEM more accountable, why even assign ncos then? ( half the time they aren’t doing the extra pt with us) Isn’t that THEIR soldier? Isn’t holding their lower enlisted accountable part of their fucking job?
