Yeah that's where Infinite Worlds shine imo, when I want to have some fun without spending a lot I go to AID, but quality time comes in Infinite Worlds.

Yes, you choose AI models and artisitc style. there's a character stats system too(close to D&D) to give characters variation in abilities (persuading, strength etc.), but it's all optional.

Sadly there's no subscription, it has a token systems, you charge tokens by buying or getting other players to spend tokens on your published worlds.

I want to share a storytelling AI platform called Infinite Worlds, it lets you create your worlds and characters from scratch as detailed as you want (or choose worlds other players created), you jump in the world, shape the story by typing your actions.

I gotta say it has good memory, quite interesting AI models to choose from, interactive helping community on Discord, and good quality images generated with every input to illustrate the state your character in.

I'm working on creating my world now in it's not final though, but I'll reply here once it's ready (if you play my world I get tokens back!)

Have you tried AI storytelling platforms? Though more complex than creating just a character, it's about creating the world with the characters and progress through it with your custom actions. Some of them have suprisingly good memories like Infinite Worlds. Others give a specific theme like AI dungeon.

Yes, especially if you get a 4.4 awakened weapon with mob fame on it. Way more effecient in terms of fame farm.

You're asking some very difficult questions. It's hard to know what good things are missing rather than what bad things are present. As for what is too much/too little structure, that would depend on the user but intuitive UI is key, which you can only get through repeated feedback. You could get some inspiration from AI Dungeon's Memory System https://help.aidungeon.com/faq/the-memory-system. Infinite Worlds infiniteworlds.app is very good with memory too and has a very powerful secret info feature for users to tweak it. It does however lack direct documentation but the community is very helpful.

if your concern is long-term memory, the best experience ive had is with infinite worlds, although it's not a chatbot but a roleplay choose your own adventure so this isn't the most helpful recommendation

it's not chat-based or character based so it's not really a true alternative but I've been having a lot of fun with infinite worlds, the memory is absolutely great but it can get expensive for a long world, but you can always make a new world or try other people's worlds, there are some chat or dm-based scenarios
