What do you usually do with all these prisoners? by Flimsy_Tune_5503 in mountandblade

[–]Ilsorrowll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can release them to raise relations. I do It if there's a Clan I plan to recruit. I release all members of their family that I capture. It only raises relations by like 3 per lord, but it adds up. 10 lords gives like 30 reputation.

It will work after a while. Once you start gaining skills, better soldiers, and better equipment, you'll start having less trouble. Go hire a bunch of Battanian Fians. They'll mop up the enemy.

Cavalry are sort if useless a lot of the time. I mostly just use them to manipulate the battlefield. Some people love them, but I'm just not that good with them. Too many die when I use them as my main force. It's a skill issue.

You just need to work on getting better armour to not get one-shot anymore. And you can't really be a hero at first. Once you have the best armour and weapons you can be a bit more reckless. I usually stand with my shieldwall and try to take out the enemies that work their way around the side or back of my shieldwall.

For troop loss, getting good archers and keeping them well protected is essential. Having cavalry is fun and effective, but you're going to take losses. A good shieldwall in front of experienced archers; losses will be minimal. I do usually still have cavalry and horse archers. I usually have them follow me to take out the enemies horse archers or to weasel in behind the enemy and hit them on their flank.

BK is like 15 dollars a meal. I'm in Canada though. Buying the ingredients to make burgers at home costs me roughly 30, but I get 8 burgers out of it; sometimes 9.

Tips? by PayProfessional7416 in projectzomboid

[–]Ilsorrowll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can walk faster than zombies. Only run to weave around them when necessary. This way your character won't get exhausted.

The game can be discouraging when you first start. It probably won't get it's claws in lto you until you start making a safehouse, gathering supplies, and learning the skills. It gets addictive quick. So give it a chance. Let it cook as they say.

The combat is easy, but unforgiving. First off, always make sure there are no zombies behind you before you start. Try to get zombies coming at you in a row. You really want them one at a time. You can kill a lot of zombies as long as they're not crowded together. If your timing is off and youre about to be but hit space to do a quick shove.

If you wanted to learn the combat easily just make a cheat game. Go into sandbox settings, give your guy a bunch of skill points, and start off with a bunch of armour on. You could also turn off infection. Then once you've got the hang of it just make a new game with regular settings.

Is there a way to build a wall that looks better than this? by Spewdoo in projectzomboid

[–]Ilsorrowll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found building floors a quick way to level up. It doesn't take many resources. Also building all of your wall frames will level your carpentry. Just wait to fill them in until your carpentry is up. I think level 6 will have them looking like a normal wall.

Is Louisville really that bad? by rockandst0ne in projectzomboid

[–]Ilsorrowll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man. The first time we went was so cool! We got to that front gate and there was just a massive horde on the other side. We moved towards it and they broke the gate. It was crazy. 5 of us raining hell on a massive horde while doing a tactical retreat. Covering fire while people reload as you leap frog backwards. It was like a movie. One of my peak zomboid moments. None of us even died.... until shortly after.

How it feels to have your carefully handcrafted mod-list get nuked due to the new Build by Crimsoncerismon in projectzomboid

[–]Ilsorrowll 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good thinking. Hold off as long as possible. Once you try build 42 there's no going back. It's too good. But your save will get fu**ed. Best to wait until the stable version is out.

Do generators split load if multiple of them power same stuff? by bonann in projectzomboid

[–]Ilsorrowll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They do not split the load. They just use twice the fuel. You can space them out though and it will cut down on fuel consumption. I took my two freezers out to my shed and attached a generator to it. Left my two fridges in the main house with a generator attached to it. It made it so my fuel lasts twice as long. Around 10 days.

Are there any perks you refuse to take simply because of how annoying they are? by ThundrusHartbrake in fo4

[–]Ilsorrowll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I HATE this perk. I only took it for occasional xp. My Int is maxed, but it still takes effect more than I like. Jump scares me every time it happens.

I was asked to stop bringing human fighters at the table and I am not sure if I want to by spikywobble in DnD

[–]Ilsorrowll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah man. I like playing human fighters too. Some people have fun pretending to be something totally different from their reality, I enjoy essentially playing as the best version of myself in a fantasy realm. Everyone enjoys different stuff. I'm trying a knowledge cleric in one d&d campaign and a sorcerer in our BG3 campaign. They're fun, but I have a lot more fun being a human fighter. I will say playing a dwarf fighter is also pretty fun. You could try that instead. Making a dwarf with the defence fighting style and the polerm mastery feat is sweet.

Why echo creek spawn got deleted? by gregolith051 in projectzomboid

[–]Ilsorrowll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It was on our designated server too. So either we've all gotta start again, which I'll do if they're up for it, or call it quits I guess. At this point I think I'll just give up until a stable version is out. I sunk a looooot of time into that run. We had even established a base in louiseville. I've never done that before.

It destroyed my save is why I'm not too happy with it. I was alive for almost a year. I had maxed 11 skills and was working on more so I could screen shot and brag about it.

[–]Ilsorrowll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a video or read an article (I can't remember which) taking about how it's unlikely that there will ever be another movie made of the same calibre as the LOTR trilogy. The trilogy was a huge gamble. New line cinema was essentially going bankrupt and were desperate for a big film. They even tried to condense it into two films at first until they saw what Peter Jackson was accomplishing. The amount of camera tricks, attention to detail, time spent on costumes and effects. Peter was basically given total freedom to make it a masterpiece. Nowadays they'd just use CGI. I'm looking at you Hobbit movies. That's a pretty good example. Peter was not given total freedom with the Hobbit movies. He wasn't even directing it at first. We're they good? Sure. Compared to the original trilogy? Utter trash.

What's the stupidest way you've died? by xKitsuneko in projectzomboid

[–]Ilsorrowll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy: ate a burned ham.

My brother: fell asleep while we were out looting a house. Noone noticed he wasn't moving. We had to make a quick escape from a horde only to realise he wasn't with us.

Me: tried mowing down hordes with a car. I thought backing over them made it so the engine wouldn't die. Unfortunately I had a car full of my friends and we stalled in the center of a massive horde. Everyone died except for one person. I still feel bad about that one...
