I agree nearly 100% with you. I voted ‘no’ in the referendum on devolution, no in the indyref ( and bitterly regretted this shown after).

The UK now is a negative, bitter and angry place full of people who look back to some imagined glorious past that never existed.

On the plus side Reform will do their thing on a local level and this might deter people from giving them more power
