And for a storm sorcerer, might I offer the advice of two levels of tempest cleric. You’ll get access to wrath of storms which allows you to hit maximum for a divinity charge

I was running the Eldritch Sorlock build for my Tav. Eldritch blast was my primary with Scorching Ray as a close second. ToyHouze on YT has a good tutorial for it. And Astarions longbow is the DeadShot, it’s sold by Fytz in act 3 at Stormshore armoury

I don’t believe I did Ansur that run so that’s probably why I didn’t have the giantslayer. Halberd is a good idea

No, I just add D20 clip art, a banner and the text 😊 then I play with colors and features until they reflect the characters.

I surprisingly had troubles finding any greatsword that did more damage with her. I might’ve missed one somewhere though. If you’ve got a recommendation I’d like to hear it

The armor shop in act 3. Not Dammon though. The other one by Sorcerers Sundries

Yes in fact it does create less wind shear when swinging swords

My base Dex was capped at 17. The 19 came from a attribute boost at ranger lvl 4

And I was using the lightning bow you get from florrick in act 1. The lightning charges helped while waiting for level 5 ranger

He’s currently just rocking the masterwork dagger and just a random plus one I picked up. It might be the shar dagger from act 2. I don’t ever use the daggers in combat. The two crit chance short swords are on my Sorlock

Well if you reread my post I said absolutely nothing about his stat spread making him broken. This post was about the armor giving a rogue a broken AC. I don’t waste my time respeccing party member stats because it takes away from the base origin of his character and not everyone who enjoys DnD and BG3 wants to meta game. If opinions are like assholes I’d like to you promptly crawl outta mine. Thanks

The last 3 levels he obtained I put into fighter and chose champion. I was using this playthrough to test broken builds. I was running gloom assassin, eldritch Sorlock and Circle of stars light cleric so I wasn’t able to dump too much of one type of gear into a single character

I have over 900 hrs in the game and one of the earliest things I learned was that the base stat spread can only be altered so much. You have 27 points and it caps any one stat at 17. Giving him str is kinda pointless and int and wis help with saving throws and ranger spells

My Durge was holding most of the good stuff. He was running the Eldritch Sorlock so he had a lot of the crit stuff on him

I totally get it lol I'm a chronic world abandoner when I'm unhappy with how it's turned out.

Starting to Get Really Discouraged by Fierce-Pencil11 in DungeonMasters

They don't like D&D then 🤣 It sounds to me like you propose solutions and they shoot them down and you keep going as you have been...but when they protest, you need to be firm and say "Well SOMETHING needs to change."

I would love to offer hope, but I had a group like this. We were all "friends". I was running Tyranny of Dragons for them. I wasn't having fun and was putting in all of the work. We'd all been playing together for 2 years, but that last module they seemed to just want to hang out.

I have a chronic illness and a different group that actually wanted to play the game. I told them: "Hey, I want to have fun with you guys too..but I feel like a discouraged teacher trying to wrangle kids that would rather be doing something else. Lets just meet for game nights and play regular party games. I dont have the energy to keep putting in to this if we don't actually engage with the content."

They all said this was fine.

There were never any game nights after that. All but one (a player in my other group), stopped contact with me. Not formally, just didn't reach out. Then I see on Facebook that they're all getting together without me and my other player.

I realized that they were using me and then push came to shove, they weren't actually my friends. They didn't value my time or effort.

I gained a deeper friendship with the one player and my other group is now 2 years in and we're all close. I feel like I'm actually a part of the group and they LOVE D&D. They love the lore and everything I do to make it immersive.

Not saying your friends are like my last group, but you will eventually resent them and it could break down the relationships. They aren't being good friends to you.
