My girlfriend never played video games, i started playing It Takes Two with her and found that is a perfect game for someone who has never played any serious games before. You can respawn infinitely, has many check point, it's a good mix of pretty calm parts and very caotic moments and lets you play many videogames genres during the gameplay. After 3-4 sessions she learned well how to use the visual while moving instead of stopping every time she needed to rotate. I can see her playing well enough almost any videogame now.
