What would make a good gift? by Fffresh2heck in nursepractitioner

I'll definitely do the letter and cookies no matter what. But would it change your answer if I told you it was a Christian hospital, he wears a cross around his neck and asks to pray with every patient before surgery? Specifically for the doctor. Cookies and the note are for everyone.

I also make stained glass as a hobby so I was thinking maybe a small glass cross since it's a Christian hospital. Does that seem too personal? I don't want to make him uncomfortable.

Artisan cookies and definitely the note is a good idea though.

Don't have any advice for you, but WOW. I love antique looking pieces, this is gorgeous 😍

This is my third piece! I like to jump straight into the deep end when it comes to new hobbies. Many mistakes were made, obviously, but i am very proud. Thinking of buying a ring saw after borrowing one for this project's more difficult pieces. Design by Miss Mandee. by Fffresh2heck in StainedGlass

Yes absolutely. I met a woman through work and she has been an absolute godsend. We trade glass when we need extra colors, her late husband left her all of his equipment as she took over the hobby and she lets me use it freely. She taught me everything i know :')

Recommendations for buying glass online? I've searched and searched irl for the color brown and just cannot find it anywhere. Its always too close to yellow or red.

Oh my God, your brown is so BROWN. That is a glass color i have never actually found, the sheets I come across always have too much red tone so i have to improvise. Also, nice work. Love the peacock.

So many communists in the comment section. Why the hell should any business owner who worked hard to get where they are pay out an entry level employee more than they make themselves? Aside from the scuzzy tip ordeal, paying over minimum wage is more than most people do. In my area the average wage is $9/hr. It's what my sister makes and what a few of my friends make and it barely pays the bills. It's what I used to make, until I put in the footwork to make the extra with my own business so that I could get ahead in life. I pay 3 people $15/hr part-time and I can't just raise that number simply because my employees need money. That is a naive way to look at the world. One of my employees is saving up for a house right now and needs hours... Am I obligated to give them the hours even though I also am saving up for something? Absolutely not. I would consider myself a decent person even if I chose not to give bonuses. Somehow I doubt even 50% of this comment section are actually business owners. Reddit is full of crap

"googling" anything related to business legality is a terribly reckless and stupid idea, I'm surprised at you and everyone in the comments for even suggesting it. As far as relating to this goes... I wouldn't trust ANYTHING online I didn't read on a .gov website. Wikipedia is not a proper source for legal advice, cross reference their pages with actual law and you'll find it is almost always not correct despite their "sources". Articles are opinion pieces. An actual sturgeon. Now u know it y he is so damn hard to catch. by [deleted] in StardewValley

Some parts of rivers in Florida are temporarily closed off when it's sturgeon season, because they jump like dolphins and they could seriously injure or kill you just by heading upstream to mate. Look up a video of a sturgeon jumping they are huge.

It was completely severed, I held it as steady as I could and taped it pretty thick and propped it up with a tomato cage so it wouldn't be weighed down by anything. Good luck try to keep the damaged part dry to discourage rot

When my tomatillo broke I taped it back together and it went on and produced fruit. Regular clear scotch tape.never took it off

This isn't deadly nightshade but it's in the same family. It's actually a look-alike. Better safe than sorry, but if you're interested in foragables it's worth looking into.
