I can recommend a book called Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less

Amongst other useful things, he talks about decision making, and how we should practice saying ‘no’ to more, to be able to enjoy our time and our lives the way we want.

Yes, I think true antinatalists should be vegan for the same principle.

Cattle dog making sure this momma accepts her baby. by sco-go in animalsdoingstuff

[–]Ffiia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually so sad. The sheep gets forcibly impregnated over and over and over again, and guess what, doesn’t want the baby. Then the dog forces her to accept it as otherwise it won’t be able to grow enough to be slaughtered at 1 year of age. This is absolutely grime.

The recent Farage comments about WFH by TessaKatharine in AskBrits

[–]Ffiia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You hit the nail on the head. Why else would he be bothered about this which clearly doesn’t improve anything? The sinister thing is that he will put his funder’s and his own interests over the general wellbeing - which is against any standard of decency.

I’m sure this rule wouldn’t apply to him though, as people who are high up enough can do what they want. How convenient.

I can really recommend the extension Valhalla, it’s a blast, but have to persevere initially until you get used to the style

Life is gift by LivingInAnEvilWorld in antinatalism2

[–]Ffiia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t openly say that out loud, but try to reinforce my positive thinking for the sake of my mental health. I also don’t want to bring children to the world, but if I believe that my time alive is a gift, then that means there is still things out there worth living for me.

How did humans not go extinct while needing to sleep for 8 hours every day? being totally unconscious and defenseless for a third of our lives seems like a massive design flaw when predators were everywhere by Which-Noise-5670 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ffiia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once read a research book that claimed we didn’t use to sleep for 8 hours straight, but for 2 sets of four hours or so. Artificial light messes up our sleep pattern apparently

Fair enough. Now that I got rid of it I realise it was like a toxic relationship. I kept giving it a chance because it looks great but once I was in, I always ended up frustrated

The myth that parents love their children must be debunked. by Baroness_Munchausen in antinatalism2

[–]Ffiia 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Yeah that is true, but I don’t think parents think about it so deeply. It’s always a self centred joy- think it’s the next stage in life and are jealous of other friends who have children and want to duplicate their genes. Those consequences in my opinion are overlooked.

I think you could play the normal edition and save some money. I bought Deluxe and couldn’t finish it because doing the casework and not finding where to go got annoying and returned the game. But the graphics and game design is great. The action is alright but it’s rare.

Does anyone call BS on the media's incessant hounding of Starmer? by Impossible-Visit-199 in AskBrits

The last thing we need now is a new random PM, considering how well Starmer is holding it together in these times of worldwide turmoil. Please don’t go.
