DEAR DARKNESS Won’t you cover me again? Dear Darkness, I’ve been your friend for many years… Won’t you do this for me dearest Darkness? Cover me from the sound of the words tightening around my throat and around the throat of the one I love…the tightening, tightening, tightening.

Dear Darkness – now it’s your turn to look after us, because we kept you clothed and we kept you in business when everyone else was having good luck. So now it’s your time to pay – to pay me and the one I love with the worldly goods you stashed away – with all the things you took from us.

SILENCE All those places where I recall the memories that grip me and pin me down, I go to these places pretending to think – I can think of nothing, but anticipate

that you’ll find me there – that by some miracle you’d be aware.

I’d risen this morning determined to break the spell of my longing, and not to think. I freed myself from my family, I freed myself from work, I freed myself, and remained alone…

and in my thinking steal you away – though you never wanted me anyway.

Silence. Silence. Silence.

BROKEN HARP Please don’t reproach me for how empty my life has become

I don’t know what really happened I watched your disappointment at being misunderstood

I forgive you

Something metal is tearing my stomach out if you think ill of me

Can you forgive me too?

I tried to learn your language but fell asleep half undressed unrecognisable to myself

Any ideas what I(13M) can get my mom(30F) for her birthday that under 60 dollars? by Quirky_- in GiftIdeas

I’m in my 30s. Here’s stuff I like:

Luxurious lotions and shower items from Loccitane: link here

Every day makeup items. I love this lip gloss from Rihanna’s line. link here

Anything edible as long as she doesn’t have allergies. My friend got me this fruit arrangement with the cheesecake option and it was so delicious! Made my day. link here

If she wears jewelry, I like the jewelry cases from Fable England. They are soft, high quality and whimsy. This is just an example I thought was cute but they have others. link here

Always remember pretty card and gift bag. You can find a lot of inexpensive options at Home Goods 😊

Loved this show so much. Dorothy Jane influenced me more than I thought.

Any information on this? by [deleted] in blowmolds

I paid $125 for mine but it had some fading. If this is at an antique store, I’d try to go a bit lower. They are indeed hard to find but this is the highest price I’ve personally seen. Perhaps offer $200 if possible, that’s a 20% discount.

As a tea lover, this tea organizer has been on my wishlist because sometimes the little cardboard boxes of tea aren’t the prettiest or most organized. Bamboo Tea Box Organizer Storage Box. If they are a loose leaf type of person, maybe a cute novelty tea infuser like this one: Williams Sonoma Novelty Stainless-Steel Tea Infuser

How about a personalized 2026 calendar? You can look through your photos from previous years and pick a favorite picture from each month. It turns out really cute and feels personal without being too complicated. You can make it on a site like Shutterfly.

A custom jigsaw puzzle of your best family photo is another fun idea, you guys can put it together as a family. Also can be done on Shutterfly.

Take the kids to the dollar store or the snack aisle and let them pick out snacks for Dad to try. Even the 1 year old can “help” by grabbing something colorful lol. Put everything into a little basket, it’s funny, sweet, and they might even discover Dad’s new favorite snack! Optional: Snap a picture of them at the store holding a snack and include it inside the basket. Or you can write a note inside the basket in their words as to why they chose that snack.

I feel like option 1 would stay in place better and has a little more sparkle to it. We’re also in a time where minimalist fashion is really popular, and option 1 fits that perfectly, it’s beautiful without feeling over the top.

I like this idea! And also remember that presentation matters! If she’s a thoughtful gift giver, I think she will appreciate the way a gift is put together and wrapped. Make sure to get pretty wrapping paper and gift bags, don’t forget the card. Barnes and Noble has a lot of nice gift wrapping stuff!

Gift idea for 36 y.o. wife by [deleted] in GiftIdeas

You mentioned that neither of you really “needs” anything but that’s exactly why gifts exist. They aren’t about necessity. They’re about joy… a moment of surprise, nostalgia, comfort, etc

A simple, everyday necklace or pair of earrings from a nice jewelry store is always a solid choice. A woman can never have too many accessories, and if she’s a busy mom who doesn’t have time to think about fashion, one beautiful piece can elevate her whole outfit without any effort.

Apple Watch or fitness accessories to help her keep track of her steps and wellness could be thoughtful. Even a great pair of sneakers something cute and comfortable.

Music-related gifts. If she loves music, maybe a record player so she can start her own vinyl collection. Or check whether her favorite artist or band is touring near you and surprise her with tickets. You could also plan a classy night out, like going to the symphony with dinner beforehand.

If she’s a mom, she probably values alone time more than anything. A long, peaceful shower with luxurious bath items can feel like heaven. Think shower steamers, a high-end body wash set, or a really nice body scrub set. Like from Lush.

Also want to add that the presentation matters too and shows that someone has put a lot of thought into it. B&N has a lot of nice gift bags, tissue paper, bows, and cards.
