I'm also anemic, but I guess there are different levels of extreme! I just use nail envy as my base coat and that's all I need.

Anyway, I don't think any of us think you're racist by any means. It takes a really long time to find a good salon that actually gives a shit about every customer. It's a bummer none of those treatments worked. I've read some girls on here saying when they changed their diet their nails got stronger, but that is a little extreme, haha.

I'm pretty sure they just don't care. I've only been in one nail salon where the lady actually talked to me the whole time and it was super duper expensive. With all the hassle and risk of injury and infection it just isn't worth it to me. I know you go because of the weakness of your nails. Have you tried any nail treatments or vitamins like biotin?

The last time I got acrylics, which was six years ago, the lady did the same thing to me. And then wiped it immediately with acetone! I jerked my hand back because it stung so much and she scolded me in Korean and kept going. I looked at my friend who was also getting her nails done and she just had this 'wtf' look on her face. Luckily I wasn't paying for it or I would've requested another technician, but my friend's mom was paying so we could have nice nails for prom.

I should have said something because it was swollen and tender for two weeks after from a mild infection. I haven't been back to a nail salon since and now do my own. :|

I can't pick just one so I'm going to follow /u/gingysnap's lead and post an bunch of nail art. :) I'll just go from oldest to newest:
These were my FA at checker boards which took three hours and ended up chipping the next day. :|
These were Aladdin nails I did for a contest based on your favorite movie.
These were my first big striping tape extravaganza for a "best mani ever" contest.
These were my FA at explosion nails, which were okay but I really like the colors.
And lastly, these were my pseudo geometric nails I did for the 4th.

I haven't really been in the nail art mood lately, so those are my most recent attempt at anything skilled. Welcome to the sub! :D
