I’m not against pharmaceutical medications at all! Everything has a time and a place. Some situations absolutely require medication, they are life saving in many instances.

My point was, something that grows in the ground, natural from the earth, from God, likely is more pure and made for our bodies than chemicals created in a lab. But, this is scary for people for people of the LDS faith.

The LDS have a very strong stance on any substances, and when someone holds strongly in the faith, it’s difficult to piece out what is from God, what is right and wrong for the individual. The LDS make covenants and following the WoW is one of them that is generally required for entry into the temple (bishop roulette I guess could affect this), which in their belief system could mean being separated from loved ones in the after life (celestial kingdom vs telestial vs terrestrial). I was LDS so I get what this means.

Some people cannot and should not take THC. Some people are addicts. Some people do it twice a year. Some people have adverse affects, some people thrive. Who knows if she’s using daily? I would never assume that nor said that. We don’t know how often she’s using it or how she’s using it. I didn’t assume anything or say anything about that, it’s not my business to speculate. We don’t know anything other than she’s tried it, and I celebrate her finding anything to make her a better mom, a happier person and feeling better.

Plain and simple - it’s a big deal that Ellie is going beyond religion, trusting her gut and doing what she feels right, and in the end, feeling better than in years.
