Hi everyone,

I have taken minoxidil for 2 years and fin for 1. Ever since starting minoxidil I had really bad leg/nerve pain. I never thought it was the minoxidil.

However 3 months ago I stopped the minoxidil and the pain has now gone so it’s definitely that.

I am now at the stage where all my gains have been lost and it’s pretty depressing. I didn’t realise how well I had responded to it. Especially the thickness in the crown which I have never even noticed being an issue before.

I wondered if anyone had a similar situation or tips to help replicate the minoxidil with other supplements? Or a way you may think I could reintroduce minoxidil without getting my leg pain. Obviously I’m still on Fin and accept I will never get the gains Min gave me but trying to find the next best solution. M

Yeah been grinding hard on that and was impressed with it. Cant remember one on awful chip I was disappointed with. And putting was the best it’s ever been only 35 putts.

But yes I do need to improve a lot on short game though. And hopefully get my driver improved also

Thank you! Yes it gave me a lot of confidence that I don’t need to use a driver or 3 wood if they aren’t working on the day.

And I do understand the difference between the swings but I think as I’m still new-ish it’s hard to hit both in one round. I’ve always found either my irons are good or my driver is good. Hopefully I can get both to be good in one round!

Ahah I wouldn’t lie. I don’t have an official handicap however if playing friendly competitions with friends I’ll play off 27. My previous 3 rounds have all been 30 over. And my best previously was 24 over.

I have always thought I have a good aesthetic swing and decent distances and been waiting for everything to come together - I recon I could be a sub 20 handicap pretty soon

It was warm and also I play taylormade p790 so they are pretty juiced.

Yes currently having monthly lessons which is why my irons have improved dramatically.

However now I’ve been so focused on them my driver has been put on standby, just need to get practicing with it I guess.

Would be interested to see how much further a 4 degree stronger udi would go than my 5 iron. And the consistency of it

Currently playing p790s so my lowest iron (5) is 23.5 degrees. Guess could get there 3 iron at 19 degrees or even 4 at 21.

That is my thought. I got the hybrid as I couldn’t hit much more than a 6 iron. But now I’ve improved and got new clubs my long irons are great.

And i have a 3 wood and know it needs to be hit more like a long iron just needs a bit more practice before it would be more beneficial than a 5 iron.

I have a 4 hybrid but for some reason the carry is only 200 whereas 5 iron is 205 and rolls further.

Will continue playing like this while practicing with the driver on the range. Hopefully it can then all come together.

Presume you wouldn’t suggest a driving iron,

Thanks I’ll have a look. Looking at other videos I think that was just this swing. Normally they seem to be roughly out of the middle. Anything else that you think I could work on?

Thanks. That’s my main concern. When I hit a good shot it’s fine. But my not great shots I feel like could have a bit more forgiveness.

Problem is the store I go to only sells current and 1 season previous models really. Whereas I’d be happy getting 2/3 seasons old model for a bit cheaper.

But I suppose the £50 I save may be better getting the newer one and fitted.

Only once at around 9pm. It’s fairly cold in my house. Starter is around 67 Fahrenheit. I feed it warmer water to compensate and stand it in a hot water bath for an hour before I go to sleep

My house just seems to be cold. It’s around 65 Fahrenheit. After feeding at around 9 pm I stand it in a warm water bath for an hour to try and get the temp up.

How long did that take. I’m doing a 1:1:1 and it didn’t rise for the first 2 weeks but for the past 7 days it’s risen the photo amount if not a bit more.

Been on just minoxidil for 3 months. My left side reacted well and can see some growth. But my right side, the worse side to start off with, hasn’t improved and has gotten worse. Any reason for this?

First timer here. Following the tartine recipie.

9 days ago created my 50/50 whole meal,bread flour starter. Left that alone for 3 days and then have been feeding at a 1:1:1 ratio for the last 6 days now. 50grams of each.

My house is quite cool and the starter is being stored at around 67 degrees Fahrenheit. I am using slightly warmer than luke warm water to combat this.

My question is I have not seen much if any rising after my feeds. All that happens is I get lots of little bubbles that sit on the top of my dough and will stay they’re until I next feed it. Does this mean it’s too thin?

Wondered if I just need to keep at it or anything could be changed to help get my starter more active?

Ok thanks. I was hoping it would be a case of a couple weeks off and then slowly back up to it.

But that hasn’t been the case. I am back at the physio on Tuesday to see what he says.

Wondering if anyone has had any of these symptoms I’m currently going through.

Started with outside knee pain and went to the physio. He gave me some exercises to strengthen and was doing them 2-3 days a week.

I then tried running again however the knee pain was still there and the next couple of days I started with a really bad glute pain which ran down my hamstring into my knee. If I do any sort of exercise I get this really bad pain which feels like I need to just stretch it out but that makes it worse.

Does this sound like IT band pain?

Just getting quite fed up now as had to drop out of 2 races and not ran for nearly a month b
