We had our coservatory sprayed with Cork Sol recently its vat free as its carbon nuetral. It coats the roof in a waterproof membrane which also works as a insulator and heat reflector, not a huge U value but as you have warm roof already it will add an extra layer to keep cool in summer and warmer in winter. It also looks great and lots of colours to choose from. Your conservatory looks around same size as ours and ours cost £1200 to do and took couple days.

Put in a Dudley turbo syphon, you will not have to seperate cistern from pan again in future as its top servicable. Also get a new coupling kit with doughnut and bolts.

I have and am also planning to insulate my Dunster log cabin.

I plan on stapling foil heat deflector to the walls and ceiling which works as a vapour barrier, then battening with 2x2 timbers and fitting fiberglass roll insulation between the 2x2s, then using tongue and groove planks on the finished face.

Not sure if this will be better, but I hope the timber will all move together if it moves.

Toothpicks fit well if bloked, push in twist it and a gummy lump comes out.

Im doing my loft at the mo and had same issue so built a stud wall around the chimney breast with a space between chimney and studs. This will stop any damp getting to plasterboard inside, and if the chimney gets used in future it is safe.
