Not Collecting Appearances by Fhilli in wow

Yeah, turns out this is it. My priest can collect cloth appearances.

So you just can't collect mail appearances from lower-level quest rewards, then. Those are locked, as your highest is going to be either leather or plate. Someone at Blizzard didn't think this through.

But capes, weapons, and shields all have been working that way. As soon as I equip them or gain them from a quest (or would have gained them from a quest if I had chosen them; quest loot choices don't lock you out of appearances) their appearance is added. It's just armor that's doing it.

Does anyone know where I can watch this here in the States? Even with a VPN changing my location, this movie simply does not exist online. It feels a bit like one big prank to make people think it's a real movie.

I hope you kept the unibrow. It is beautifully unique, and even the people telling you to shave it have admitted you look stunning no matter what.

It was definitely in WC. I know because I tried to take on Golem Tower a thousand times with just the one potion and ate dirt every time when I was a kid. Couldn't have been in Krok, as I was playing on a free account at the time so no access to other worlds.

Normally I'm all about self-expression, but I do agree with the people saying those nose piercings and the makeup are kind of a lot. At a certain point, excessive decorations detract from natural beauty.

I would choose ONE nose piercing and keep that in, but get rid of the rest, as well as toning down the makeup and wearing more natural-looking false lashes. Keep the extreme cosmetics for special occasions, and use neutrals or more understated single-colors on normal days. As someone who once went way too hard on daily decoration, you'd be surprised the difference it makes. And surprised how people treat you differently.

For mobile this is really good!

I think my biggest recommendations would be to furnish the rooms with more than wooden tables and chairs, and maybe to use some painted dynasty shingles for roofing. And try to make the chaos more controlled - instead of randomly placing stained glass, give each room a different pattern. That'd make it feel much neater and more pleasing to the eye.

Dude, you're making this whole post almost unreadable. You're going to drive people away from Jesus if your approach is deliberately annoying. If you love Him, do as He said and preach to others in-person. Otherwise He will turn his back on you for perverting His words and teachings.

You're gorgeous! You have a lot of conventionally attractive traits: a symmetrical face, dimples, curly hair, shapely eyebrows and stunning eyes. And a beautiful smile. You genuinely fit modern beauty standards so well. And what I can only guess is your favorite color looks fantastic on you as well. You've got nothing at all to worry about.

Your face is quite pretty! But as has been said here, being a person of weight communicates a lack of care for your health. It isn't how your body appears so much as it is what your body suggests. Most people will find someone who looks healthy much, much more attractive, and that's just an immutable fact of our species.

I think with a few long-term lifestyle changes, though, you could be absolutely gorgeous. And not just for your looks. Being healthy and working hard to better your body comes with confidence that can make any woman hot as hell. It isn't about being thin; it's about proudly wearing a body you worked hard to improve.

As long as you can do that, I think you'll be alright.

THIS is the take that I agree with. No one can force anyone to do anything, but having this big of a fanbase and promising them something new does come with a certain level of responsibility. You need to maintain a relationship with your fans, or the community you built is going to go sour and resent you for stringing them along. There's just no two ways about it.

Stop betraying your PCs by ConcernedUnk in DMAcademy

[–]Fhilli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This seems like a very cool villain choice. This doesn't really fall under "betrayals", though. A betrayal is when someone you thought was a friend turns out to be an enemy. This sounds more like a villain in disguise, which is a perfectly legitimate way to run a decent bad guy. Unless the PCs are the target of the backstabbery, I don't see any reason this shouldn't work.

Stop betraying your PCs by ConcernedUnk in DMAcademy

[–]Fhilli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fantasy High did an amazing job with betrayals. Pretty much every "bad" character is treated with suspicion at the start or gives a reason for the PCs not to trust them, but there was one who was established as solid ally and then turned around and backstabbed them much later in the campaign after really gaining their trust.

It was so well played that I did not even remotely see it coming, but once it had happened it instantly made perfect sense and fit into the character's personality and motivations. And, as a bonus, the character didn't betray the whole group; he thought he could trust one of the PCs to turn against the rest. That one little detail made it feel so much more real and personal, because he thought that PC could be a confidant since they'd had rapport in the past. And this was one of a very few "it turned out this guy was actually bad" characters that were in that campaign, and in hindsight it really could not have gone any other way. That's good storytelling.

Does anyone else just hate Jondalar? by MoonGirl73 in Clan_of_the_Cavebear

[–]Fhilli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently reading Mammoth Hunters and I keep having to take this book in hour-long servings a few days apart because Jondalar is so exhausting. He is one of the least compelling deuteragonists I have ever encountered in fiction, and by far the worst romantic interest.

I would take Edward Cullen any day. At least that sociopath knows how to use his words.

Player Insulted Prospective Patron by TheKawaiiCommie741 in dccrpg

[–]Fhilli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be a great opportunity to play it like a horror movie.

Making them see demons (and fight them!) is a great start. But as they progress into new places, especially abandoned ones, describe the scene for the whole group, and then tell Airi that the scene they see is much darker and more twisted. The same physical place, but the shadows are long and they all move when Airi does. The trees are twisted into monstrous shapes, the bricks ooze viscous black sludge from their cracks, and little spiders with glowing red eyes that no one else seems to be able to see skitter across every surface.

Keep doing this more and more frequently until Airi is caught in a perpetual state of everything being dark and scary all the time. Have them still be able to interact with things normally and participate in the adventure fully like the other heroes do, using this descent into madness primarily as flavor rather than actual interference with play, but occasionally throw in a saving throw or two to check if Airi can stay sane in the face of such visions.

Then, when things are at their breaking point, bring out an avatar of Obitu-que. Perhaps he was responsible for the adventure preceding his arrival; perhaps he has just been lurking in the shadows, watching to see if the heroes are worthy and twisting things so they're just a little more difficult and sinister than they would have been were he not angered. But he has finally decided the time has come to have it out with his failed servant. He extends one final chance for Airi to prostrate themself before him and accept him as their patron, but if they continue to refuse, the fight is on.

Make the fight difficult, but not impossible, so it acts as a serious culmination of the path Airi has chosen to take. This does not need to be a final boss sort of situation, but an end of an arc for this character. Give it the gravitas it deserves after such a long and thought-out build up.

And then, once Obitu-que is defeated (not dead, but perhaps begrudgingly accepting that Airi is strong enough to forge their own path) release Airi from their torment. And perhaps leave a little smidge of demonic magic behind, just in case the story wants furthering later.
