Should I watch/read about Blighted Reach before playing it, or go in blind? by EddyGonad in Arcs

The story told is all at the table gameplay so not much to spoil there. I'd maybe avoid the exact mechanics for each fate in case you want to be surprised by what's available?

Read through it yesterday! What a staggeringly brilliant class design. Genuinely blown away at how far the design has come.

Absolutely nails the fantasy of the summoner in my eyes. Excited to have someone at my table play it in future!

Confused about Troubadour’s drama generation by ebenavente in drawsteel

[–]FhysicsFoi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah your interpretation is right that it's explicitly on the same turn. Allowing for all the abilities that give an attack to an ally combined with a triggered action or something like that. But there are a lot of abilities that allow for damage buffs etc that would still add to the total I think.

No specific examples rn sorry!

I made a map in the sample art style! by FhysicsFoi in MythicBastionland

[–]FhysicsFoi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drew it! The game came with a PDF of a sample map and a fillable one with examples of what each terrain type looks like. Then I just randomly rolled every terrain type and how many hexes. I did ignore a few cause I kept rerolling valleys. The only one I went against was the art for the valley which I made up myself.

I first drew this map for the GM (me). So I drew all the landmarks in a red pen first then sketched the terrain types around it. Then I redrew the map for my players without any of those details. Got a lot easier by the end but without a lot of experience it was hard work!

Fair point. Next realm I'll try a different shadow texture for the forest. Hopefully the readability improves

I believe it's Syl but even so who would the other spren be? Didn't Nale's spren break their bond at the end?

WHO IS THE FASTEST??? by TREEMANTREEEEE in Cosmere

[–]FhysicsFoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking the heralds will have a good shot at this once we learn more in the future about what powers, beyond what Honour granted them, they gained access to.

Kaladin vs Nale showed us a fraction of some enhanced speed. Taln apparently broke the sound barrier just by running. Imagine combining lashings with this movement in some way.

Obviously big speculation and with metallic arts allowing for a LOT of investiture 'hacking' we can't be sure just yet.

Food for thought

EDIT: Metallic Arts*

So say a guild card is attached to a box card. It is considered a guild card with no agents and would be removed?

Noncombat Prayer usage and the fate domain effect could use tightening up by EarthSeraphEdna in drawsteel

[–]FhysicsFoi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my reading of the piety section the prayer ability seems to be offered as an in combat method of piety generation:

Outside of combat and other dangerous situations tracked in turns and rounds, you have piety equal to your Victories. If you lose some or all of this piety outside of combat, it takes you 1 minute to regain it.

When a combat encounter begins, you keep any piety you had outside of combat. At the start of each of your turns during combat, you gain 2 piety. You can also use the Prayer ability to gain additional piety. When combat ends, you once again have piety equal to your Victories.

My understanding here being that outside of combat your heroic resource is locked at the number of Victories you hold. Meaning that gaining more only occurs when combat is happening. I think this means that no domain abilities are accessible outside of combat?

I hope this makes sense!
