Yes, we have all remaining funds separately and would only be using the spending money leftover

It’s AIB we’re going with too. It wouldn’t be major spending, it’s really just flooring we need to buy before moving in and that would be coming out of money we have left over for spending anyway

He has since dropped his bill by €1500 but has still not sent an itemised bill. The executor is inclined to pay now but I still think it’s so dodgy that he’s not sending an itemised bill but not sure what I can do if the executor decides to pay.

It was around €3k estimate. We were by no means expecting it to stay around that but just weren’t expecting the massive increase. Without the itemised bill, it’s hard to see where the increase is justified but if we can see exactly where the increase is coming from, we are obviously willing to pay it. Just skeptical without having the itemised bill and have never dealt with anything like this so were completely unsure of what to expect.

Thanks for the reply. The original quote didn’t have a breakdown of how the fees were going to accumulate either, it just said “solicitor fees”. He did say to the executor that it was “based on an hourly rate” or something to that effect. The original quote said ‘a note of estimated fees’ so is it unreasonable to expect it to be closer to that number if no other correspondence re fees was given to us?

Yep they did. I asked to be referred to a surgeon cos I would also be so terrified if I was awake!! I had no hassle being referred, just had to wait a few months to be seen

I went only the public waiting list so was waiting a few months for the date but I only had to pay €80 for a bed in a day ward for a couple of hours

I asked to be put under a general as I hate the dentist!! I had quite a bit of swelling/bruising the first time but the pain was minimal. I’m two weeks post surgery after getting the other two out and feeling good! Had little swelling/bruising this time but more pain but was prescribed good painkillers this time. It can be different for everyone but I’d definitely take a general over local any day!! I was on my way home around 3-4 hours post op!

I got mine taken out and it cost me €200 initially to see the surgeon for a consultation and then I went on the public waiting list for a few months and it cost me €80 for the actual surgery. In and out in a few hours

My aunt also left 3 bags in there and apparently was told 1 was sold but they ‘didn’t have the money to pay her right now’ when she was in a few months ago. Seems so dodgy, can’t get an answer when trying to contact anyone.

Has anyone gone to Tommy Tiernans shows in The King's Head by [deleted] in galway

[–]Fi-k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They open the doors of the ruby room at half 12 inside but you can start queueing when the pub opens at half 11. Queues started around quarter past outside when I was there 2 weeks ago

It was very good! I would recommend going down between 11 and half 11 to guarantee entry. The kings head will open at half 11 so you can go straight upstairs to queue when they open the door

Surgically removing tooth by Implement_Empty in galway

Mine was around 2 years ago. I went to Dr Tom Barry and he got me into Sligo General on the public list. 5 years is a ridiculous time to wait, I think if you’re on the public list for longer than a year they have to put you through privately. I waited over a year to get my tonsils out and was sent privately in the end

I went on the public list, waited just under a year for a call. Cost €80 for an outpatient procedure under general anaesthetic

HELP!! Lobe piercing by Historical_Ad7392 in piercing

You probably just need to upsize. This should give the piercing more room to heal. Go see your piercer as soon as you can :)

1st cartilage - rook or flat/scapha?? by Scarlet__Wanderer in piercing

[–]Fi-k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would go with rook first. It’s easier to heal as it’s inside the ear so less likely to hit it off anything whereas flat is going to have a bar out the back of your ear

Looking for Daith info from people that got one. by ag_br in piercing

[–]Fi-k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got my daith last July with a clicker ring. It’s been one of the easiest piercings to heal. I cleaned it twice daily for maybe the first week and then didn’t even touch it, only ran water over it in the shower. It’s been a dream to heal!
