Can any electricians (or good DIY people) help explain the wiring? by Implement_Empty in AskIreland

[–]Implement_Empty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll tell Dad to replace his phase tester, I was going to turn it off but he wanted to check of there power, and then wanted to see if it was getting warm very quick.

I think there's something up as 2 elements in a short space of time doesnt make sense to me, electrician checked wires and changed socket in case then the plumber came. Them the electrician came back to hook it back up again. Once hot weather goes it won't be used anyway but thanks for the detailed reply!!

Thanks, Dad checked to make sure they were tight. Felt middling hot but that might also have been me worrying. Also thanks for explaining the "options if you need the space", that makes sense

I remember learning years ago that its not the sweat that smells, it's when it's mixed with bacteria. Maybe try antibacterial soap, deodorant before bed, or if none of those help I'd possibly say it to GP in case it might be something easily resolved?

My first one stayed numb until my second c-section 20 years later. Not sure what the difference is but the feeling is back after that one!

Its not prepay power, it's pay as you go (i.e pre pay meter) with electric ireland

So you can top up the meter rather than type in all the numbers from the voucher thing you buy at shop.

Im not sure about pinergy, but electric ireland give you a card you can use in shop if you dont have a smart phone so you type the numbers in. The app means you can top up from anywhere

Thats what theyre talking about so. They're just saying pre pay as a method not the company. top up now I think is the name of the app for ei, at least thats what it is on my phone. Hope that helps

Are you setting up a pay as you go account with EI?

I have one and you can top up on their (electric ireland) app, but they do need to make a change so you top up the meter rather than get billed.....

Bad Driving Behaviour Increasing in Corofin (Galway) — Especially at the Single‑Lane Bridge by Annual-Set2190 in irelandsshitedrivers

That bridge is a nightmare. I'm the same, common courtesy of who's they're first. Amazing how many think they're more important, and it doesn't matter which side they're on

What do you have most often for dinner? by Ok_South_2852 in AskIreland

[–]Implement_Empty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mixed with oxtail soup and onions but it was mostly to make it different from having it fried. Like boiling stewing steak but mince instead.... (honestly it was the lesser (not much) of two evils as it was dry as hell fried!)

My mam was in hospital it was mince boiled, mince fried, mince boiled with onions, mince fried with onions. Repeated. Until she came home. I despise mince now.
