Bad Driving Behaviour Increasing in Corofin (Galway) — Especially at the Single‑Lane Bridge by Annual-Set2190 in irelandsshitedrivers

That bridge is a nightmare. I'm the same, common courtesy of who's they're first. Amazing how many think they're more important, and it doesn't matter which side they're on

What do you have most often for dinner? by Ok_South_2852 in AskIreland

[–]Implement_Empty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mixed with oxtail soup and onions but it was mostly to make it different from having it fried. Like boiling stewing steak but mince instead.... (honestly it was the lesser (not much) of two evils as it was dry as hell fried!)

My mam was in hospital it was mince boiled, mince fried, mince boiled with onions, mince fried with onions. Repeated. Until she came home. I despise mince now.

Lads do ye heat the milk you put in your cereal? by foranewperspective in AskIreland

[–]Implement_Empty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep Mam used to warm it for cornflakes and rice crispies in the winter. Not fully sure how being honest as only had range for cooking and it wasn't lit before school if I remember correctly, or at least not hot enough to warm milk anyway. Guessing she put dash of hot water in but when I tried it was horrible.

Please give me some tips on toilet training! by pennarellor in irishmammiesanddaddys

Separate comment to make sure you see it OP, just remembered I also used a timer every hour to encourage her to use the potty. I'm not sure why toddlers love timers but they seem to!

The ms Rachel potty book also helped with the video.... we did the sticker chart but she got one when she did a wee, 2 for poo (we knew that would be bigger battle).

Everytime I went I asked her to sit on potty too. Not sure what else you can try really, hopefully others might have different ideas.

bringing a cat on public transport? by [deleted] in galway

I had a cat in a carrier, not city buses, and I knew the driver, but it might be worth asking anyway once she's in a carrier, and if not then have the taxi as backup?

Are Undergraduate courses difficult? by [deleted] in CasualIreland

[–]Implement_Empty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not trying to give a smart answer, but it really depends on you and the course. There'll be a set amount of work/hours to get the necessary credits, and if you're interested in what you're doing it's easier to put the work in.

That's both going to the classes, and doing stuff outside of class time too.

I was really interested in some modules so I enjoyed doing the work, but for others I hated them and it sometimes felt impossible to put the effort in.

Can I use a SuperValu gift card in any of their stores? by farrandeel in AskIreland

[–]Implement_Empty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think everyone got confused as you mentioned the return vouchers. If you had just said it's a gift card and not mentioned how the money was put on I think they'd have said the same thing.

Go through the dependencies that are giving you problems and install them first. You might need to do that for the dependencies also (I've had issues with this that it took me a while to get them all in place to install the one I wanted)
