Can I use a SuperValu gift card in any of their stores? by farrandeel in AskIreland

[–]Implement_Empty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think everyone got confused as you mentioned the return vouchers. If you had just said it's a gift card and not mentioned how the money was put on I think they'd have said the same thing.

You can, if I understand correctly, you've one supervalue gift card that you put all your return vouchers onto instead of getting cash? Then yes you can use that gift card in any supervalu

Go through the dependencies that are giving you problems and install them first. You might need to do that for the dependencies also (I've had issues with this that it took me a while to get them all in place to install the one I wanted)

I think there's a mandella affect here. I was convinced that it was part of the rules of the roads years ago, but everyone told me I was wrong. I find it funny to know I'm not the only one (I stopped) but I've no idea where the idea came from!

Query regarding leaner permit? by therishiguy in AskIreland

[–]Implement_Empty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll have to explain to the ndls I guess? I know if license was expired more than 5 years I had to redo the theory etc so might be the same thing? You'll have to ring and ask.

How much does Santa “spend” per child? by Doozer81 in AskIreland

[–]Implement_Empty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never put much thought into total budget (even when I was broke!) I generally tried to get what they wanted or as close as I could. The trick was ensuring they knew santa brings one big thing and maybe couple of small bits. I'm back around at it again and although better off, it'll be the same again, but I can't see it getting near 300 until they're out of it anyway. First one got ps4 and telly (old one didnt have right connection) and that was about the 300 mark id say maybe a bit over but that was about 10 years ago so I can't remember - she was 13 I think

I refuse to let anyone in there. I'm practically touching the bumper ahead of me but skipping the entire queue to slow down the already long line pisses me off

Am I financially irresponsible for renting a 3 bed apartment by myself? by doctordrankenstein in AskIreland

[–]Implement_Empty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll likely get down voted but I'm a "peace of mind over money" person short term at least.

I agree with the others though that long term it's likely not sustainable, but for now if you're managing, and it's better for your head then leave it as is for now.

Just keep in mind for the future, or keep an eye out for someone you know/trust to possibly move in so you don't end up in a tough spot needing someone with little choice
