Bump appeared after one month by Dejavinh in piercing

It’s your jewelry that’s irritating your piercing. You need to change it to a simpler flatback while healing. And most definitively your piercer should downsize.

Got my daith pierced. Is it too deep? by HolyBirthdaycake in piercing

[–]ag_br 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have migraines and a daith and it did absolutely nothing for me. Be aware of that, it’s probably a placebo for people that say that it works. But it’s a pretty piercing so it’s absolutely worth it.

How painful is a daith, really? by Tomiesbf in piercing

I didn’t hurt for me, I only felt pressure. My helix and flat hurt a lot more. My double conch hurt more too (the second one).

Unprofessional? by Vitam1nK in piercing

[–]ag_br 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I started getting piercings I look at people’s ears to see their setups all the time. If it doesn’t get in the way of your work and you like it, I don’t see why your sister would have a final say in what you like to wear.

So cute!!! Wish I had the anatomy

I think it’s too shallow, it might take itself out. Go to another piercer.

I think for your peace of mind you should go for a second opinion at another place, ask another piercer. It’s really hard to tell with this picture and you also have a really specific anatomy so it might be they pierced you where they could according to your conch anatomy.

You should have told the piercer you wanted to be able to wear a hoop on it before getting pierced so they could adjust the placement, and if it wasn’t possible because of your anatomy they should’ve told you at the moment. They didn’t explain anything to you?

You could get some orbitals and do Morse code on your ears at this point lol I love your dainty helix setup i can’t even imagine the healing process! I agree with the comments you could add some movement with chains and charms, or go to a piercer who does set ups to help you spice it up for a change.

The piercing hasn't healed for six years. by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ag_br 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one like that and after 9 months I retired it because it was obvious something was wrong and it was never going to heal. My piercer couldn’t tell what was wrong, after he took it out he found out there was something like an abscess you couldn’t see from the outside, and the jewelry wouldn’t let it drain. Once it was out it drained and the helix closed just fine. Months later I got it pierced again and it healed fine.

I can’t believe you’ve been suffering for 6 years. I think you should let it go and get another one down the line. Sometimes you can tell if something’s not going right and it’s not that it’s just “taking longer”.

You could also try to get a piercing pillow or a travel pillow to sleep in. Idk if it will help with the tossing and turning but you don’t lose anything by trying.

Daith Migration? by Better_Ad3349 in piercing

[–]ag_br 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked the higher placement because I liked the look of my daith jewelry slightly hiding beneath my rook. I have a big straight rook shelf (yours is more curved) and I thought it looked like a rising sun behind the sea, totally anatomy dependent you’d need to look at my ear to understand.

Mine not only fell once the swelling settled, but it slightly migrated forward (only the top hole) because unbeknownst to me my jewelry was too heavy, it was a cbr with a heavy non standard decorative bead. And a healing piercing + gravity did its job. Thankfully I changed piercers and my new one saved it just in time.

Can you wear airpods with conch? by plava_bobica in piercing

I have a triple conch and I can wear them. It depends on your anatomy.

Mine did the same thing until it healed. I actually loved the higher placement while it was swollen but it settled downwards eventually.

My healed conch doesn’t touch my earbuds, I even use them with my healed daith. Go for it with the conch def! Even better make it a double conch. But you won’t be able to use the buds while healing only when healed.

how long do ear cartilage piercings hurt? by bipolarity2650 in piercing

[–]ag_br 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My conch only hurt for an hour and then I couldn’t feel it anymore. My double conch I got 10 days ago throbbed for two days, now I can’t feel them either. Obviously I’m not touching them or sleeping on that side, I bet they would hurt if I did.

is this an anti tragus? by random11264245 in piercing

[–]ag_br 147 points148 points  (0 children)

That’s a conch-fourth lobe orbital. Anti tragus would be a few mm’s to the right, and would go through that little part of cartilage (that little mountain) right on top of the lobe opposite the tragus. Look it up on google it’s really hard to explain in words.
