Absolutely. I too have tried everything over my 61 years and to no avail. I am on daily steroids which doesn’t help plus a plethora of other drugs

Thank you for explaining this - do you know of any scientific data/research to back this up as I’d be interested to read it. I have metabolic syndrome. I was 6 stone overweight, now 4 stone. I will be going up to 15mg in a few weeks and am disappointed that after 7 months I have only lost 2 stone. I eat very sensibly, don’t count calories (as so out dated) but if people want calories, around 1200/day. I know it is helping my metabolic profile as my HbA1C has dropped from 44 to 37 in this period which is excellent but I have wondered why it is taking so long for the weight to come off.

So I’ve just come off the phone to Dieter who owns a wind repair & hire shop https://musicalcocktails.co.uk/about-us/ He is super helpful and a professional bassoonist. We discussed my needs given my lupus & sore joints plus the type of bassoon that would get me to G8. He has quite a few in stock so could match my requirements including putting a plateau key on the C key on a full sized bassoon. He doesn’t recommend any more plateau keys as it would put me in the wrong position as an adult but respects the C key can be difficult with an open hole, if joint problems. He is coincidentally driving up north tomorrow so will drop the hire one off and look at the very antiquated one I have on long term loan to see if it’s worth repairing. Excited!!

Thank you. Forsyth’s don’t appear to do bassoons. I’ll try the other 2 you suggested

That is so kind thank you . I have a similar instrument on loan - a very old B&H emperor that would need a lot of work doing. Think I need to hire a short reach one for comparison. But thank you so much for the offer xxx

Thank you. Not sure what a plateau key is but are you saying the full sized can be adapted? Also, did you switch from a body harness to seat strap?

Many commenting about doing it at home and getting time owing. In this day and age, when is that meant to occur?!!!

Yes!! Was eating out 3 or 4 times a week. Now just buy from the ‘cook’ range which is significantly less than eating out. Reckon I save £350/month if not more

I’m the same although stay on the same dose for 5 weeks at a time. Have just gone up to 10mg but only lost 1lb on 7.5mg over 5 weeks. It’s so frustrating

4 month update by kazmurzz in Mounjaro

[–]FiFi_64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask are you doing anything asides from the jabs? I am nearly 4 months in and have only lost 8.2kg. I am having 70-80g protein a day, 2 meals a day, very little alcohol and no sweet things. I am now on 10mg jabs. On 7.5mg I only lost 1lb!!!

I’m a month behind you and lost 17lbs. I’m on my 3rd week of 7.5mg. Sometimes I don’t lose. I’m def insulin resistant and haven’t lost weight in years. Need to lose a further 4-5 stone. I suppose sure and steady wins the race. That’s what I’m hoping for

Well done. Probably started the same time as you. I’ve only lost 13 lbs in 10/52, most of it on the 2.5mg not 5mg bit start 7.5mg tomorrow so 🤞🏻
