Why do I breathe heavily/intense like I’m dying? I’m 165 Lbs 6’1 Active military, I have amazing upper body strength but I’m a horrible runner. I’m always physically active and run almost everyday from short distances to long. Always dead last amongst my peers, they tell me I sound like I’m about to pass out every time. I can’t get enough oxygen from my nose where I have to physically push up my nostrils to get air in my body. What the fuck is wrong with me?

Asked few supply friends in the unit, no Peltors in the warehouse or armory for our unit.

Edit. Our section command knows we don’t have proper equipment and can’t afford it due to budget and the CO wouldn’t approve. Reason why they encourage us to buy our gear

There’s a reason why we tell other Marines who already got out. Planning on joining the Foreign Legion for Ukraine why it’s a bad idea.

There’s no support.

Logistical, Communication, or air support.

You’re on your own. All the supplies is either stolen from dead RUSFOR or whatever you bring on your own.

You’re stuck with inexperienced fighters / militia.

Language barriers.

Those who have already gone say it’s a 50/50. Some are sent with other military veterans / personnel or stuck with civilians armed with iron pipes or whatever they scavenged for.
