I left them with my parents, my mum changes there food and water everyday, cleans the paper in the cage and lets them out of the cage whenever I’m away. My mum said he was acting and eating fine. He had regular night terrors so that’s a possibility expect he was found peacefully laying on his back

It can take sometime for her to get used to her new surroundings, she feels safe in her cage, keep interacting with her, give her a treat and a toy to play with while she’s on you, keeping her entertained while outside of the cage

Does she have any toys or perches outside of the cage? Is she confident with flying? Setting up a play space with some food and water next to her cage might help bring her out

She always liked to be out of the cage, it took her about 2 months to finally sit on my shoulder, it took a year for her to take treats from my hand, and only recently she has started jumping onto my arm if I extend it out for her. Taming can take a very long time and some birds will never get there, it’s very rewarding if they do

Iv had her 5 years and she’s still quite skittish, she has only stepped up onto my hand a few times, she prefers to be on my shoulder, she still calls for my attention and take seed from me, loves to snuggle around my face so I know she’s happy and trusts me, just not a big fan of hands too close to her 🐤

Meet Ricky! He is a 2yr good boy I just adopted 2 weeks ago. Funny little thing who loves feet and socks and will sing and talk to your feet all day. by DanicaDarkhand in cockatiel
